Ok, I've never really looked into Socialism, but I just did a quick search at dictionary.com (my source of information :P I get bored when reading large paragraphs) and it sounds like Communism. What is the difference? Or is it just that people don't think it through enough to realise they would bot...

There is not one example in history to support that. It shows the opposite. The Russian culture and economy were at a very low stage during communism. Russia isn't exactly a wonderful example. Firstly, they were in a war which ate away at any funds they had. Secondly, they were in a war with a rich...

The one should always be selfless.  It's worrying about "what do I get?" that makes this world a horrid place to live in.   Many cultures are based soley upon this concept, which is why many will never progess. As a matter of fact, I believe it's vice-versa. Cultures advance when the one ...

If ridding the world of social "parasites" and evil demigogues and dictators, would bring about world peace, certainly, that would be acceptable.  If I had been around during World War II, and had access to Adolph Hitler, I would consider it a noble goal to take him out, rid the world of ...

Re: Quotes

Brainiac wrote:...what if the country that would have been required to be attacked by US nuclear weapons had been predominantly Caucasian instead?

Think about it.
I don't understand the question.

How about we make this more interesting? To those that have already answered "Yes", would you still do it if you were one of the sacrificed? The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.  If my death made the world a better, place, I'd do it. Bt Wasn't that a Spock (sp?...

But there is nothing wrong with the question. It is saying that killing tens of thousands of people *will* bring world peace. Since it isn't saying how, there isn't anything to argue with. So far the arguments that the question doesn't make sense is by saying that killing tens of thousands of people...

Actually, the Avoozl name puzzle thingy is one of the bugs that doesn't actually stop you from continuing on. You just have to pause between each letter for about a second or two.

Installing the old games just copies the folder to the hard drive. You can do the same thing, just make sure the files aren't still read-only. Then just run the game install program from the hard drive to select the sound card, and you're set.

If I remember correctly speed problems create a "Division by zero" error. So I'm fairly certain it is a speed problem. Many people have tried the cache disabling thing to fix speed problems and it hasn't worked. As far as I know, it's only worked for a small percentage of those that have t...

Disabling the CPU cache isn't a miracle cure. And running in DOS does absolutely nothing since the speed of the computer is still the same. DOSBox probably would have fixed the problem, since it sounded like a speed problem

Well... it all depends on the game. Some can't be combined into a single disk. There is one thing he could do though. Firstly, create an image of each of the CDs using a CD burning program like Nero (instead of telling it to burn to a CD, you tell it to write an image to the hard drive. As long as y...

From what I vaguely remember about KQ2++, the Father was basically the leader of a cult (the one Manannan and Mordack were a part of, iirc). "Father" is a common term for that sort of thing. But my memory is really bad, and my imagination is way too active, so I have no idea what is real a...
