New AGD Homepage... why can't I click anything?

I love the new site, but unfortunately, I can't click anything on the subpages... am I not supposed to be able to? I'd love to watch the production video click... but alas I can not. I've only tried the site with IE 6.0 thogh...

Re: Tierra changes name

Sorry guys, I just don't like the new forums setup. It's bland as hell... just like 90% of the other forums out there. I really liked the older setup, made me feel more "adventurous". And the color kinda hurts my eyes...<br><br>Just an opinion. <p></p><i></i>

Re: Click vs. Type

not entirely true... people seem to think this is a black or white issue, while in truth it is not. How did you find the paper in the original EGA version? I'll tell you, you saw a white blob on the grown, typed look at floor, or just look. It gave you a better description and you then typed get pap...

Re: Sorry for being pathetic about this but...

Very nice ideas, quite similar to some of the suggestions I myself have made about character interaction equating the depth of gameplay. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <br><br>P.S....

Think people think...

If you read this entire post from the start, you would see that statement is flawed. There are other factors the game can use to increase the "guesswork" while keeping a point n' click dialog interface. Notoriety based dialogs, an eavesdropping feature for the thief (maybe even a bribe fea...

Well...

with over 70% of the votes in favor of point n' click, I think we have our answer as to which would be done if it came down to an "either or" choice. <p></p><i></i>

Re: QFG2: Communication Poll

Hey... you wouldn't happen to need an extra alpha/beta testered, would ya? I've got a lot of free time on my hands, and I used to work doing Q/A before I got into programming. So if you need an extra hand, drop me a line. <p></p><i></i>

What do I think...

well I'm all for having both versions available (and I'd probably download both as well). However while I'd agree the parser is more immersive, I'd have to disagree it's faster to script. Case in point would be having to handle multiple inputs for a single output. You don't know what the "user&...

Re: It's not as difficult as you think.

I was actually under the impression people wanted a full parser. Now that I see where you're going I understand a bit more. However, my question still stands, why mix the two? Why have Shapier on the list when I could just type it in. And would those default choices be treed to other defaults?<br><b...

Re: A mix...

The only problem I see with that is, just doing one or the other is hard enough. Combine the two and you've just double the amount of work that needs to be done. I'd rather see two complete seperate versions rather than a mix of the two. Keep in mind if they want language portabilty the point n' cli...

Re: From a programming standpoint...

That's true. But also keep in mind the QFG series are heavily time based. Unlike most of Sierra's older games, in QFG you often had to wait for a specific day to roll around before certain events could take place (even if you knew what had to be done). The rest of the time was spend mingling and per...

From a programming standpoint...

I would stay stick with point n' click. Not only will it make language translation easier, but if you use a selective menu system (and keep your flags in check) it can be just as effective as a text parser. As far as easter eggs and special sequences go.<br><br>Someone mentioned you wouldn't be able...

Re: Death Message goes here.

Uh-Oh! Looks like this does still occur in v2.0, it just happened to me today. Same error, same lockup. <p></p><i></i>
