Re: remakes
Your on the right path, Nadine. Playing lots of games and taking college courses is a step in the right direction. However, making games definitely is not easy. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and a lot of time. Add to the fact that the people who work for Tierra do not work face to face me...

Re: great job!
Thank you for your kind words, Nadine. Doing these remakes is our way of keeping the classic games we all enjoyed in the past alive. As for Royal Quest I, that project has been put on hold indefinitetly. We may start work on it again in the future, but it probably won't be anytime soon. However, don...

Re: What's your favorite king's quest and why?
I'd have to say KQ2 is my favorite KQ in the entire series. I remember playing it back in the early 80's on my dad's Tandy 1000. It was an awesome game. I think I played through it at least 50 times over the course of the computer's life. And KQ2 was my first King's Quest title, so maybe that's why ...

Re: No mp3 format available?
On the KQ1VGA website there is an option to download the MP3 music pack. I would suggest downloading that and installing it and see what happens. Besides, the MP3 music pack is just awesome anyway, so I'd recommend it even if you had no problems whatsoever. =)

Neocron
Online Community ...

Re: KQ6+
I would say that KQ6 was the pinnacle of the KQ series. Everything that Sierra learned from doing a 256 color VGA King's Quest title (KQ5) was refined and re-applied to make KQ6. Everything from the story to the puzzle mechanics was top-notch for any Sierra product up to that point. It's a shame tha...

Re: Lets See...
It's not so much that we used the KQ5 setup/engine for KQ1VGA as we used it's interface as a basis for our interface. Our engine is AGS, which is capable of doing a lot of things that the KQ5 (and other later Sierra titles) were capable of doing.

As for KQ2VGA, it's going to blow you away. I...

ZIMFreak, can you please shrink your picture down? The ideal size should be around the size of pics that Erpy uses. Anything larger than that is not acceptable. Thanks!

Neocron
Online Community Director
Tierra Entertainment

Before starting the game, press CTRL+ALT+DEL and close down any program that may be running in the background EXCEPT Explorer and Systray. Then try running KQ1VGA. That should clear your problem up.

Neocron
Online Community Director
Tierra Entertainment

Re: Tierra Entertainment Reviving Past Adventures from Sierr
Why should they reward those who they do not even know? The main reason why we are anonymous is because we don't seek or want any kind of reward for our remake works. Re: Future projects
Fribbi,

The fact that Tierra puts money out of our own pockets to put our projects on a host is just more evidence that we are committed to doing this with no thought of reward. Re: From games from the past to future
The thing you need to keep in mind here is that as the games we want to create/recreate get more complex, the longer the development cycle will be. A commercial game has a development cycle of 1.5 to 2 years from inception to mass production. Heck, the game I'm working on has been in development for...

Re: Kings Quest III- willth it returne?
well, I don't know when exactly we'll be remaking it, but I think you can count on it happening eventually. I have SOOO many fond memories of KQ3 and KQ4 it's not even funny. Those are the two that I hope get remade (KQ2 was my first KQ game, but I don't remember too much about it except I found out...
