In the AGI version, you could do it whenever you want. In the SCI version and this VGA remake, you must have the mirror and the chest before the condor will appear.

I must disagree.
For QfG1, the remake introduced all sorts of bugs, and I don't like the VGA conversation system. The new combat system is good, though. If the bugs were gone, it would be a very good remake, I think.

For SQ1, I really dislike the remake. The whole thing is one speed-related bug. The graphics ...

Oh?
There most likely was a CGA version of the early KQ games, but I know the KQ2 and KQ3 I've seen are EGA. They have 16 colors. CGA has 4 (usually either brown, red, green, black or cyan, magenta, white, black). There's no fundamental difference between the graphics of KQ2 and QfG2. Both are EGA. It's...

That depends.
Some points (like those for the witch) are completely optional and you could just restore to game saved somewhere in the middle and do those. Other points come from different solutions to puzzles. For example, you get more points for using a non-violent approach than for killing someone to get treas...

Once you have the three treasures, go to the castle. You'll get the ending sequence, and King Edward dies. That's it. End of game. You've won. You can restart the game if you want to try to get more points or you can stop playing the game. But there's nothing that comes after that.

I know I had problems getting it at first but can easily get it now. First, be sure that it's on the right screen. I don't know if there are different stumps, but it would explain it... Yep.
It is a remake of the SCI version. The graphics, text and music are all based on those. The AGI version simply doesn't have that much music (and that which it has is just 3-voice at best) and it would been impossible to make good VGA scenes by simply modifying the original AGI graphics.

Not money.
It has diamonds in it. You're probably just having trouble getting it even though you're looking in the right place (the screen with the stump and the log). The trick is to click the eye on the opening of the stump first and then click the hand on it.

KQ1 isn't that illogical, but KQ2 has the infamous "throw the bridle on the snake so it becomes a flying horse that gives you a magic sugar cube" puzzle. I think (and hope) that there aren't any less logical puzzles than that.
<b...
