Re: What aspect ratio was this game meant to be played at?
If you run the setup program (I believe its acsetup.exe), there is a section for display options. You can run the game in a window and then use scaling to make it larger. I think I was running it with the 4x nearest neighbor filter.

Recent Forum Downtime
I apologize for the recent downtime on the forum. There was a bug that was pointed out which prevented from posting. While trying to track this down, I noticed the forum software needed upgraded. When I attempted this, it crashed partially through and left the forum broken. I had to get hold of the ...

Re: Glory 2 VGA in Russian
Where did you get a translation? I didn't think there were any translations due to it being difficult to verify quality of the translations. If this is an unofficial thing, we can't help, as the game wasn't set up to support it.

Re: Quest for Glory 4 Remake?
It's highly doubtful. The Sierra IP has changed owners since we did the remakes, and we've lost our contacts that had the ability to help us with the licensing. Besides that, the last reboot of King's Quest didn't go as well as they had hoped. This means that it would be very difficult to get them t...

Yes. That is how to get rid of him permanently.

Re: Kq3 script error
It looks like you found a bug no one else found. It's likely we won't patch it, as the last update was almost nine years ago.
I will say this though: If you did manage to turn into a fly and buzz around Manannan, he'd sense it and kill you. You don't need to do that to beat the game.

Time tends to fly by. It doesn't seem like that long ago.
My kids are 7, 10, 18, and 19. Another couple of years and my oldest will be the same age I was when I started programming on KQ3Redux!

There are tons of tutorials out there for AGS and Photoshop, etc. Its rare that a single person has all the skills and talents necessary to make a high quality game all by themselves. Our team consists of artists, programmers, musicians, writers, etc. The trick is getting all these people working to...

Thanks for the kind words. It's great to know people are still finding, playing, and enjoying the game!

In case you guys missed this. Ken Williams shared this photo on Facebook of Roberta checking out some artwork from the new KQ game.
"Here's Roberta looking at some of the art from the game (in this picture Matt, the designer, is showing Roberta how Graham will age as the game progresses.)"

I'm still around. I check the forums every couple of days. Lately, its just to make sure no one is posting spam though. Haven't really had a good conversation going here in a while. What's changed for me in the last 10 years? I just celebrated my 10 year anniversary with the company I work for now, ...

Re: KQ3 Musical Talent bug?
If you copy your saved games, you should be able to reuse them if you redownload.
I don't think redownloading would fix anything though.
Do you have an earlier save you can try? If not, maybe you can upload the save you are using and let us give it a try...

This YouTube video shows them making the spell. It starts at 5:10. In fact, they mess it up once, and then do it correctly.
Maybe you are reciting the incantation before waving the wand?

Re: No Pouch for Sleep Spell
We could have disabled saving once you started creating a spell, but then we would have had a ton of people complaining that they wanted to save after each step in case they made a mistake.

Re: No Pouch for Sleep Spell
The pouch can be purchased in the town. If you haven't gotten it, you can't finish that spell. If you saved your game after you started that spell, you may be stuck. It is always a good idea to save to different files as you progress, that way if you find yourself in a deadend situation, you can res...
