Re: You have chosen....*spoilers*
Instead of just asking the random street shmoes and the Dalai Lama the theoretical trial questions, imagine this scenario: You physically put them in a remote and harsh environment, and you allow them bring along only ONE item to ensure they survive the LONGEST amount of time. You cannot assume tha...

Re: You have chosen....*spoilers*
Yet, you still managed to answer incorrectly the first time. IMO, this puzzle can't be justified as is. I won't be convinced Knowledge of all things isn't above shelter or food. Give me knowledge alone, without the food or shelter, and I'll forage/hunt/fish for my own food, and make tools and shelte...

Re: You have chosen....*spoilers*
The logic behind the book/tools order was...if you had tools, but no formal education, you might still be able to build a shelter (although probably low-quality) by applying common sense and trail-and-error, but if you had formal education and lacked tools, you couldn't build said shelter ever. Peo...

Re: bandit sleeping/moving-around randomness
However, entering any other screen besides the oak tree or treehouse exterior screen resets that counter. This doesn't make sense. You've added the counter to help the RNG, and that's good. But, only if the player mindlessly goes up and down the tree without leaving the bottom screen. Our player ma...

You know. The problem some of the modern academics have with Maslow is that there are influences in the civilized world (in the city) which could influence the importance of certain needs. Heck, Maslow admitted that himself. But, Maslow's triangle is 100% viable when stranded on an island. There ar...

Re: You have chosen....*spoilers*
I admit to having messed up at first when I did it... One would think the solution is obvious. Why are people having to even come here to ask? Wait, you missed it the 1st time, and you're claiming it's obvious? I don't think you know what obvious means. Also, people aren't coming here to "ask&...

I was thinking, "Why choose premade food, when I could have the knowledge to gather/make the food for myself. Kinda like, Why give a man a fish, when u can teach him to fish."
But, eventually, i got it after trial and error.

So, I have no problem going in there and he's dozing. But, what now? I can't ever seem to get the gold or do anything else without him waking. i don''t remember having any trouble in the original heh.

Re: Original KQ3 Worst/Best Parts (SPOILERS)
Playing this game as a child (10/11 years old) in the 80's, it was tough. We didn't understand about hiding the special items under your bed, so we had tons of saves, and we'd just hope Manannan wouldn't see us, but eventually, he would. It took us forever, but we finally figured it out, and we made...

Re: A brief account of KQ3 Redux' history
(/me climbs out from under a rock) I'm so glad you guys are remaking this game. The KQ line will always have a special place in my heart as KQ1, 2, and 3 were the 1st sierra games I played, and made me fall in love with them. While QFG was a good line, it won't touch what KQ generates for me. I'll b...

I'm still lurking on these boards, and it's good to see you've taken the next steps towards completion. I'm very excited about it!
BTW, I submitted my beta app, but didn't include my font. So look for Will Jennings, and match it to me (Beernutts
Good luck!

I'll play too. 31, Atlanta, GA 1st Sierra game (1st computer game actually), KQ1 for the IBM PC Jr, in the original plastic box. Then KQ2, then Black Cauldron. Thems were good times. I like to brag that I'm probably the longest sierra game playing forum member (I mean, I guess someone might've beat...

You're not the only one who's been waiting 7 years for QFG2 remake. So many other have as well, so don't make it sound like you're the only one. KQ1 remake, and KQ2+ on G4...
In case you guys didn't know, some G4 show ran a brief segment on the history of games, and mentioned Sierra, Roberta, and KQ, and showed clips from KQ1 remake, KQ2+, KQ3 (from IA), and TSL's KQ9 trailer.
Here's the clip:

You guys that like the "classic" look...
You guys that like the "classic" look should just go back and play the old EGA versions of the game. The reason AGDI is remaking these is to make them in VGA and can easily run on today's platforms. They're making them to look better, and, without a doubt, the second screen looks much be...

I don't remember the exact length of time...
but I'm going to go ahead and say expect the 10 month wait (if not longer).
It will take long enough for them to finish Al Emmo, and even if they started working on QFG2 only right now, I'd still say it would be 6 months or so before they could release the game.

One more questions...
It says I only have 3 posts? What? Was there a server reboot or something that reset the post counts? I've been here since Royal Quest (my bookmark still says Royal Quest), and I know the server went through an upgrade a few years back, but nothing so soon.
O well, I don't post that often anyway.

The amazing part of this is that say you're getting 60 frames per second... that means that every single second, your computer does ALL THAT (and it's far more complicated than that inaccurate summary) sixty times in a single second. I'm constantly in awe of the power of computers, depsite the fact...
