Thanks for the great game.
What the subject line says. ;) I never got far in original KQ3 (the beginning was so confusing, and I kept dying), so now it’s whole new world for me. The game is very good – graphics is a joy to look at, the writing is solid, puzzles are challenging without being too frustrating, etc. It’s sl...

Re: I have to say it – misconceptions about torrent.
I download probably 2 gigs via BitTorrent on a weekend... and upload 6 gigs because of seeding. If you don't want to, you don't have to – most clients allow limiting incoming or outgoing bandwidth allocation, or you can just turn off the torrent right after it finished downloading. You can tell me ...

Yeah, I understand. I just hope that there will be enough mirrors for everyone.

Re: I have to say it – misconceptions about torrent.
In the end, we're still only allowed to provide the game through a download on our site, so this discussion is still completely based on a what-if-scenario. Sorry, sorry, I'm really trying not to beat the dead horse. :o Like I said, it's not the distribution method that's bugging me, it's the fact ...

Re: I have to say it – misconceptions about torrent.
Plus, it just doesn't seem that professional either to distribute your game through Bittorrent. You have a point, to a certain degree, but torrents are also used to distribute open source software, and Blizzard uses bittorrent protocol to distribute World of Warcraft patches, and The White Chamber ...

Re: I have to say it – misconceptions about torrent.
Anyhow, even if the torrents DID provide the most extreme accuracy in the count, it would still be unsuitable for their cause. Well, maybe they don't provide the most extreme accuracy, but they do provide a high level of accuracy, definitely not lower than direct downloads. If they wanted to use a ...

I have to say it – misconceptions about torrent.
Ok, sorry, I can't take it anymore, I have to say it. :eek First, this is not a request to distribute QfG2VGA via bittorrent – I totally respect your choice, and accept it, even if your didn't have Vivendi agreement limiting distribution forms - after all it is the fruit of your labour, and you're g...

Question on QfG2 distribution methods
As the release time draws (hopefully) closer, I'm wondering about one thing – when the game is finished, how will it be distributed? Obviously, you will put it up on web server (mit.edu, as for KQ1 and 2?), but I think it will be under some significant strain for the first week or two. So, to avoid ...

We also managed to track down a really annoying bug today that's been pestering us for over 2 years and just couldn't be consistently replicated. (mostly because it had 1:205 chance of showing up every time you attacked an enemy in battle) Any chance you tell us what the bug did and what caused it...

I recommend getting an actual MT-32 through EBay or something if you want a good MT-32 experience at this point. It's almost impossible to import ebay-bought hardware to Russia. :cry Our customs require a great deal of papers most sellers are either not able or not willing to produce. That's why I ...

Quest for Glory I with MT-32
Does anyone have any experience running QfGI with MT-32 emulation? I have downloaded the MP3 files from QuestStudios, and they sound really cool, and I really would like to hear something like that in the game. I tried DOSBox, but I probably didn't figure out something, because the music sounds garb...

QfGII VGA – any new content?
I know that the game is good enough not to need any major changes, but I remember reading that during they meeting with the Coles, the AGDs were shown some stuff that the Coles wanted to be in the original game, but because of time and space constraints it didn't happen. So, er... I was kinda wonder...

While I'm content to wait for the release (the itching impatience disappeared some two years ago), it would be really cool to see the January 2004 build that was mentioned by Anonymous Game Creator #2, possibly with some sort of comment. To see the progress made, the challenges overcome, etc. As a l...

Adventuregamers Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire review not only mentions AGDI remake, but also says that the reviewer played the alpha version and mentions that “besides greatly improving on the original's EGA graphics, the remake offers a number of other enhancements”. Lucky bastard!

Original QFG-like games
Erm... So, I remember, there was some QfG-inspired projects over the net some time ago. Is any of them still alive? Has any of the came to a successful conclusion?

Erm... I wonder if any one can recommend some articles or forum treads on puzzle design in adventure games?
