Re: Adventure game remakes to VGA links list

It's visually stunning and will be undoubtly a good game, but the style won't match seamlessly with the other two as DCIllusion's. His game was as if he went to an alternate timeline in which Police Quest 2 was remade by Sierra and ripped its graphics for us to get a small view of the unfathomable ...

Re: Police Quest 2

Well, the bottom of the screen is rather empty. Perhaps you could add some bushes, something similar like you have in front of the right side of the building. Then those bushes act as some kind of front line for extra parking spaces? Because right now, you have the van parked on the left, two parki...

Re: Police Quest 2

Nice work, I especially like the reflection of the building in the wet parking lot. But the lot looks a bit too dark in the night shot. I feel restaurants and such should have a wel lit parking lot for all kinds of safety reasons. That's mostly because I have slightly poorer vision at night. You mi...

Re: Police Quest 2

Yeah that seems pretty neat. I've actually never played that game, I guess I should give it a try and see how it looks when things are animated. So far I've animated several objects and two characters in PQ2, and the objects looked great. The characters have been more difficult but it wasn't too bad...

Re: Police Quest 2

I just checked the site again and noticed some added screens of Cotton Cove. They look good as well. But now I'm wondering, with that level of realism for the scenery, will the character models fit in, because they will have to look very much like real humans as well if you don't want the total eff...

Re: Police Quest 2

Woot :p someone likes my weird remake. Actually yeah, it doesn't fit in with the other games, that's kind of weird but it'll be ok. Now the PQ2 remake that Bt posted was something I was excited for, but the guy apparently disappeared. PQ2 was my favorite of the first two games, but it didn't quite h...

Wait what, your choices are Wii versus SegaCD?  I'm not even sure I should be answering this... SegaCD did have two or three decent games, if you like RPGs or Strategy RPGs...but beyond that the thing is a waste of time.  You could probably get yourself a Wii, and go on ebay and find a freaking Sega...

You can easily go in and straighten those blurry images up, you really should.  It's not a lot of work, it would take me five minutes I'm sure. What bothers me the most is the inconsistent size of each background? 320x240 320x214 253x240 320x165 Not one the same size?  Not a huge deal I guess but it...

Actually this looks cool.  Sure it's simple but it might be fun.  I want to play it ^^

So when you finish it, send me a link to download and I'll give it a go.  I'm not on here much, I just forget to check back, but there's a link in my sig where you can find me whenever you want.  Later ^^

I'm not so sure things like "changing clothes", "using the toilet", "eating a burger" are the types of things you have to be constantly reminded of in an adventure game. I strongly disagree. :D   lolz!  Ok ok I know what you're saying, I was just trying to say that &qu...

I like continuity too.  But as a gamer if everything looked the same with Roger from game to game, I would have been less thrilled with them in retrospect.  I'm sure you'll do an amazing job on the sprites though.  As for changing clothes, I'm not so sure things like "changing clothes", &q...

Re: Open ending ?

7. RESOLUTION; everything comes to a close; tie up your loose ends, show your hero in the new status quo he/she's in, wrap everything up in a nice little bow (unless you're leaving stuff open for sequels); THE END Just a comment : I'm sick of unfinished stories... every single episode of every show...

Da_elf: whoa.

That was seriously gnarly.  A bit bright, but I don't know if I like it without the rest of the game appearing in 3D too.  I get a Lost in Space the movie feel more than a Space Quest feel though, but oh my god look at those blue lines, sweet!

What is annoying to me, is when you are too lazy to feed the fish, but they are smart enough to piss you off by continously flicking rocks against the glass until you get up and feed them.  Damn you, Mr. Fish! Damn your cunning little wiggly opening and closing fishie mouth!

Anyway, I did it so here's the new "metal" logo.  Yah it's not even a new logo, come on there's not even a game being made here, so I can't see myself sitting down and working on the NEW logo.  Doing a brand new starfield was quite enough work on its own.  Bah. http://www.2dadventure.com/a...

Well sure, you can do whatever you want with it.  Like a 3d logo? Make one and let's see how it looks.  Personally, I enjoy the idea of remaking the original with just better graphics.  If you're going to draw a whole new logo, you may as well draw whole new scenes from whole new angles with complet...
