I think the problem with the eagle is that it doesn't look like a regular eagle. For those of us in the US, a bald headed eagle is normally what we think of. In the game it looks like a falcon or crow/raven. Which is why I didn't realize it.

King's Quest III, for me, had the best story and villain, hands down. The whole dynamic of the game is different from any adventure game that I can recall.
