Re: A brief account of KQ3 Redux' history

Looks like I'm late to the party again! :lol I had totally forgotten about you guys, real life and all, and as I was going through my CD collection I spot a KQII+ and decided to find ya'll again. I was not disappointed to say the least! :eek It was like Christmas in August. :) I just want to hand ou...

WOW, you guys are planning for an imminent  beta release, excellent news indeed! I didn't want to post in the beta thread as I would have nothing to say except that I can't help. :lol I think I'll grab KQ111 to tide me over until then.;) BTW Erpy, nice choice of dates to announce the beta. :lol You...

Have you tried ISOBuster Shaminar? It's recovered everything that I've thrown at it, they have a full trial available for download.

I haven't been here for a quite a while and I'm glad to finally see a centralized thread on the progress even though I understand nothing about the nitty gritty of game making. There's another 9 page thread here which I'm not going to even touch, I have better things to do.;) It's good to see the pr...

There's a free tool called Microsoft Virtual PC which allows you to run another operating system inside of Vista (in a window.)  This includes support for previous versions of Windows, so even if AGS isn't compatible with Vista, it will remain compatible with XP, which you can run IN Vista. You can...

OMG, KQIII is absolutely nuts! I fooled with it for almost three months and hardly got off the mountain! I didn't want hints etc. but I broke down in self defense. That was just too complicated IMO! I doubt many gamers got to the end without a walk through.! I have to give kudos to those who did.  :...

DOH! lol, how did I miss that?! Thanks naveynuke04, playing in a window did the trick along with 640x400 and changing the screen res to 800x600. All I have to do now is find a black screensaver to  eliminate the distractions on the rest of the screen. Great! :)

However, one thing I can say with 99.9% certainty, barring some freak misfortune from occuring, is that this will definitely be the year of QFG2's release. Well, this is indeed great news, seems no one locked in on it for some reason. I applaud you for getting into the market with a product and sti...

How full-screen things are played is usually dependant on your video card settings, not the actual program. If you have a NVIDIA card, you might be able to follow these steps: - Go to Display in the Control Panel (in Start Menu) - Go to the Settings tab and click Advanced, then select the tab that ...

Thank you so muck akanucho for putting all that time in to test it out along with such a beautifully detailed explanation. You are truly a gamer!  :D I have been able to recreate the known bug at the woodcutter's hut and have had no issues elsewhere with anti-aliasing on. I'm currently "trying ...

I'm afraid I don't know what to tell you then... please share if you find a solution. Sorry... Thanks for all of your help and time navynuke04, :) The only thing that seems to work is to turn on the anti-aliasing in the advanced options. I'm not sure why,  though I hope I have helped someone else. ...

Does it completely hang up and quit responding Yes There is a known bug that happens at the wood cutter's cottage. Sometimes when you enter the screen, the player won't appear in a walkable area, and therefore becomes stuck What I saw was that entering the cottage, Graham just disappeared and then ...

Hmmm... perhaps your system doesn't meet minimum specs? :p What specific errors are you getting? System hangs with KQ1 on x64

I'm running an AMD Venice 3000+ x64 with 1GB RAM, XP SP2 32-bit. I've had to reset my rig twice as the salute doesn't work. I'm running stock speeds on an ASUS A8N-E using the onboard Realtek ALC850 audio and an ASUS  N6200TC PCI-E video card.  Any hints are very much appreciated.

Just to thank all of you

Wow, I registered just to say that this is a great place! :D I would like to thank whoever pays the bills here, it must be huge.  :eek Man, I started my computer odyssey with Sierra's LSL and the KQ series in the mid 80's. I just dl'd KQ1 at 570KB/s, just amazing! Along with the speech and music pac...
