Re: Crowning moment of awesome?

There's going to be many of those. Entering the alleyways of Shapeir.

Oh my god! First time trying the fighting system!

Re: Scorpion or Saurus?

So if you FINISH HIM! you become brother Scorpion?

I never tried that, and when I play games QFG or wizard of the coast games, I always take the good paths so I often miss the ebil extra material, but I do kill the griffin so that my magic user doesn't become a paladin by mistake.

Re: QFG Artwork

No, no, NO! Playboy-bunnies or bust my friend! :lol In all seriousness, it's an accomplished work, and all the unique critters at least makes it funny, toony, and distinguishable from the regular fantasy fauna, with the added bonus that you're allowed to kill most of them anyway. :p Before posting y...

Re: Hype shrouded in mystery

I think we should try to, I don't know, try to make everyone's position on this clear juuuuuuussst ooooone mooore tiiiime for ah, posterity. That way we can determine who's being the annoying one, unable to rectify his position. All in all, a very important issue. Just friendly advice here. Know to ...

Re: QFG Artwork

Hey, late for the party as usual. I must say, all these hero drawings are wonderful! It really makes me wonder what QFG would look like as a more toony Monkey Island 3 type of gig, or why not, an animated movie! Lady Pyro, you're amazing. I think the katta dance drawing is really artistic and is imp...

Re: Hype shrouded in mystery

I'm curious though, how long aforetime is it proper to hype? I know that movie teasers can go almost 2 years in advance and a year before there's an actual trailer, especially if it's a very anticipated movie. Games I dunno. Heh, maybe it's best to throw it out before november at least before everyo...

Re: How will you announce QFG2vga?

I agree with Esquilax. I mean, there's a wide range of things from very difficult to very easy to pull off. Easy would be to update the wikipedia articles when the time comes. It's not much but it gives a little pull and it's better than nothing. There are plenty of things that don't require too muc...

Re: How will you announce QFG2vga?

HA! Thanks Eriq. Sadly I'm not in PR, in which case I'd definately contract you for free, for the love of you guys and the game. Closest thing I've ever done to press releasing was announcing an ecology encyclopedia to universities over e-mail. Didn't do much more than writing up short e-mails and a...

Re: How will you announce QFG2vga?

Oh, I forgot. This could potentially solve your hosting problem aswell. I'm sure some gaming site wouldn't mind having traffic increased to their site if the release party is over there. I don't know if this borders gray legal territory. What happens if people benefit even given the fact that the ga...

How will you announce QFG2vga?

Hey.. Wow, nice work with the front page! Very cinematic, like an official movie site or something. You've guys gone to enormous lengths to come this far with the game. I'm happy to see you'll follow through at last for both our sakes(I'll LOVE to play it, you'll feel great completing it!) :p Questi...

This reminds me.. When I was playing the remake of KQ2 my brother, who is 7 years younger than me, burnt a copy and took the game over to his friend's house. Later he told me that they had barely begun playing until their dad spotted them and demanded to play. Fortunate thing with adventure games is...

Lambonius, if you think QFG was all humour, you are wrong. The story finally exploded in the original QFG2. Ever played QFG4? I hear people speak of QFG3 being the best. QFG4 tied up all of the loose ends. That one was very sad. There was no humour at all in QFG4. Even the puns were not funny, cons...

Heh. Compromises. I said 'craftsman' because I didn't really want him to be thought of as a lab-coated Doctor Cranium. Although, yeah. The scientist guild is already introduced so that's more logical. I think the Scientist is a great idea because it's really the only truly unique character class, in...

Re: What sucks about QFG series.

I'm sorry, but I find this part extremely funny. This wasn't what the game was about, thankfully.  It's stupid to me that people tend to look at Africa to have this problem, just because the differences is obvious, the skin colour etc. But, just like every-one of the other games and every country i...

Many good ideas here but this one I prefer: - Scientist: A wizard of the non-magical variety. Instead of spells, he works with various gadgets that he has built himself. His skillset and mentality are similar to the wizard (though he'd never admit it), sans the magic skill. He has no mana points, in...

Hehe. That's some grade A QFG pun-making there I just had fun ranting and I hope it's not inflamatory. It would still be hard to flat-out state that a game is junk since it's such a subjective opinion. Much why we like certain games often depends on what impressional age we were subjected to them. T...

I agree with Quest for glory fan, but I think what's being on debate is  humor-driven games. Yes it is hard to take the Space quest game seriously plot-wise because the main plot is about saving two intergalactic game programmers. That kind of adventure game might not be everyone's cup of tea. I thi...

Personally, I don't expect anything anymore. The only proof of QFG2VGA coming would be QFG2VGA actually coming. No need to state how much work is behind doing a non-profit game of this caliber because AGD already did two. Is it rude to not expect it ever coming? I don't think so because I certainly ...

Don't know about you guys but I think that among the classics, there's only one series that excel in that department. It would have to be Gabriel Knight. Still, aren't there some contemporary titles too? I haven't played them but what about Amerzone and Paradise by Sokal? They certainly look like th...

Déjà vu! I made a post about this ages ago. Funny someone else had the same idea. I believe it is because we expected to find a brigand camp when we first played the game. It certainly had made sense, even if you don't take the first game in account. Aziza also talked about a camp in the Julanar st...

What sucks about QFG series.

Hi. I don't usually post here much and it was at least a year since my last visit. I re-read some posts and realised that this place is quite heavy with QFG-fans and the debate leans towards "what makes QFG great". I remember once stating my dismay about QFG5 and that produced some real ho...

That's a bit tough. Fangames would be wary to do this. A nice hitlist it would be.... But as for other amateur games, wouldn't be a bad idea. I keep forgetting that these fan games are balancing on the very edge of legal so I see your point. Maybe there is a less overt way of doing it though. You c...

Finished adventure games webring?

I drop in very infrequently here because If I came here every other day, I would only get frustrated. No luck yet I guess. No problem though, I'll be back in a few months. Before I go however, I couldn't help but notice that other fangame that is nearing completion. I had no idea about IA and KQ3 re...
