Re: Game & Movie Sequels That Just Never Should Have Been Made
I guess I'll have to float on this tide and say my peace. I liked Rocky Balboa. It had an interesting concept that heroes just don't disapear with the sunset. Did the Hero's story end with QFG5? I don't really concider Mask of Eternity to be a sequal to KQ7. It's like taking Al Emmo and making the g...

Re: Service Pack 3 for XP
I'm thinking it had something to do with some kind of anti-piracy software that might have been bundled with SP3. It's strange though that I could play anything I wanted from my computer, but when a Mp3 player was attached Media Player would shut down. I had no other problems until I tried to uninst...

Service Pack 3 for XP
DON'T INSTALL IT! Everything seemed to be fine when I did until I hooked up my USB Mp3 player. Media player would shut down with an error message when I hooked it up. Winamp was the same. I tryed to to a system restore only to find that all of my restore points were wiped out. Microsoft said that yo...

Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.
The problem was that I got hit by a punch and knocked down. The hero would almost get back to his feet when a pizza would hit him, and down he would go. Getting hit by one pizza while getting up wouldn't hurt so bad, but 5 or 6 kills all chances of killing it that go around. By the way if a person r...

Would you people grow a pair and kill the damn thing already? This thread has explained over and over how you can deal with him in ways that don't need a buffed up character or lightning reflexes. There is no reason whatsoever that you can't deal with him, and erpy's designing it doesn't give him a...

Blackbelt Hero!
Has anyone killed a jackalman by kicking it to death yet? I did. There was two left, and one got behind me and I kept kicking. It would hit the bottom of the screen and bounce back. When it died, it flew off screen only to land in the pile of bodies in the middle of the screen. I KICKED IT ALL THE W...

Re: Please make easy combat patch !!!
As everyone has said practice with Uhura. I'd keep it up until weapon use is about 150. At that point you can do a three hit combo that allows you to be VERY aggressive. Swing, stab, swing. The last hit always knocks down the enemy. Buying the new sword from the weapon shop would help, too. I also h...

My character's not in the room! (error)
I was heading to the right of the screen in the desert and got this error twice in a row. It boots me out of the game and says:
in Room 15 script (line 3095)
Error: MoveCharacter: character not in current room
I had just saved my game each time so it's not a big deal to me, just wanted you to know.

Re: Importing characters from Quest for Glory 1 VGA?
Are you using save games from QFG1 or the export file from the end of QFG1? And of course the export file must be placed in the C:\Program Files\AGD Interactive\Quest for Glory II folder.
Edit: You beat me to it. Yeah, you have to beat QFG1 to ge the sav file.

I have the "FM Towns PC version" of Loom. Actually if I remember correctly I found it on Underdogs where someone had noticed that the PC and FM Towns basic programming structure was the same, and that it was possible to swap the visuals. This person made a patch that worked with the origin...

I became a member of the forums years ago just before KQ2 was released. I stumbled upon the site through Underdogs I think, I played through KQ1 and had a short wait until KQ2. Then came the long, dark winter that we all know so well. Here at the end of things I think we can all see why things took ...

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not... When I traded my gold in I had 222 pieces and got 124 dinars. Well I had to see what would happen if I traded them in one at a time. 1 gold for 1 dinar, even exchange. So I too the time and traded my gold in one at a time and ended up with 221 dinars (kept one...

GET SOME SLEEP!
Or we can all shoot ourselves in our collective feet. At 4 AM EST there are 24 people online waiting for the release which isn't comming until evening-ish PST. I for one don't want to fall asleep during the download. Even if it's not dark where you live go take a nap.
Good night all.

Buy two or three Al Emmos!
A while back someone did that and gifted them to the community in the form of a drawing. I think that would be perfectly acceptable.

Re: Character Templates and Saved Games
I've just finished implementing a last-minute change into the QFG2 remake; a GUI which will allow you to select the correct character profession if it gets incorrectly imported. It works just like QFG3's version. Malekdarshin, I tested it with the .sav character you sent me and changing his class t...

In the "A Few Questions about QFG2VGA...." post there is a link to save game makers. One makes maxed "pure" characters and one makes maxed "super" characters. Pretty much you just input the class you want and which game you want the import file for. I had a similar prob...
