I would too, considering I go home from work to program my game but I don't think Erpy (or the team) are regularly releasing those. There was one other thread I read which had a neat one about monsters not appearing when they were supposed to but I don't know which thread that was in. Edit: Never m...

tedium is a reasonable price to pay Exactly the part I disagree with. It's hard for me to understand a game designed, even in small part, for tedium (you know, the very opposite of fun ). Doesn't that defeat the very purpose of a game ? To me the ideal (but unrealistic) solution would be to have ...

Repetition
I was reading a QfGII thread just now and noticed how much time and effort people put into repetitive tasks. "Welcome to the gaming world" you say? True. But there's got to be a better way to some things. Take maxing out your throwing skill. You can pick up a few tons of rocks and star...

There are some great new adventure games out there. My personal suggestions are: The Sam and Max series (original game by LucasArts) and Runaway 1 & 2

I'd suggest starting here but I can't be more helpful past that, I'm afraid.

I really like the idea. It seems a lot of good things could be brought to each character. The fighter could master his battle skills, especially expanding it to fighting (and fighting in) groups. The focus can be on accuracy and even death strokes at the highest levels, with knowledge of his enemi...

Re: 7 Years
What makes people think that somehow if they ask "the question," they'll get a different answer than everyone else who's asked? If you've truly been here 7 years then you know your answer.

... Note you are basicly thinking a more class oriented marrowind here, no class just skills to build. I never played the game but I do think the class was relevant, for the reasons I mentioned before. At the beginning it might not matter, but that's perfect for the start of Quest for Glory 1. Af...

Personally, I'd like to see the reverse of what you guys are talking about: becoming someone based on how you start out and how you play the character. Imagine that instead of choosing your character, you are presented with an image of a shadow. You then put points into whatever you want. If you a...

I know I'll be spreading the word on the few game-related sites I visit, so maybe that'll help. DonQuixote, I like your avatar. Brings back memories of the fun I had battling the various QfG4 creatures (yes, that includes the rabbits). What do you mean by re-releasing the games though. Are you aw...
