Re: Music & backgrounds in QFG4½?

Wow, I haven't posted in 5 years?!?! Damn!

Anywho, I don't recognise either of those pieces either, assuming for the 'Stranger' one you're talking about the opening credits in the first video.

I don't know if you saw, DM89, but I posted a reply about the 472.snd from QFG4 in the QfMG forums.

Iceberg,

Sorry for the delays, I don't really visit these forums any more. Feel free to contact me via IM or via email (I'm easy to contact) and we can continue this.

Hey there, Just wanted to say, sorry to hear about the poor sales results. I, like most people in the Sierra community were hoping Himalaya would make it big, or at least make some waves. Although, I'm confident there's time yet :) Anyway. I would take you up on this collector's edition price cut fo...

Actually, I was under the impression the Murry's owned Manhunter IP as well- a few years back now, I was approached to help out an unofficial Manhunter 3 project, which involved the surviving Murry brothers as well as fans. That in itself doesn't prove theyhave anything, but the way the guy wrote th...

I hate me too posts, but I have to say I agree with Erpy's post wholeheartedly. As someone who runs 2 Sierra-themed forums (as well as had membership in almost of all of them), I've seen so many "I have an idea for a game, let's make it, who'll be my artist and my programmer" etc. While I'...

Grand Dad,

A belated happy birthday and I hope your back is feeling much better. Hopefully you and I can catch up someday :)

I wish Boogeyman would do something about his signature.. how large are they allowed to be??

I wasn't talking at all about programming, or being some "computer genius". You obviously didn't read what I wrote. But I get the feeling you never read what you're replying to very thoroughly anyway. By 'idiots' I'm referring to posts like this: can people stop saying "it will come o...

I think the causal link is 'poor legislation', not low salaries ;)

But geez, who cares about download links for QFG games (apart from AGDI getting in trouble for allowing it, of course). Vivendi didn't even release them with the 'Quest' rereleases.

I guess the question is- who has the time to beta test a full game through, over and over? I don't even have time to play the old QFG games, let alone obsessively hunt a beta remake for bugs and play it upwards of 5 times. That said, I would gladly do it if I got some free time. Gladly. But I just w...

Hell, you want to complain about something, go to the Hero6 forums.. It's been what, 10 years for them?  I heard they're reworking the plot yet again. From what I know, Hero6 essentially was canned by one team and picked up by another- so it's not like 6 years + 4 with the new team, more like, just...

Mark Seibert didn't compose for KQ4.

Also, MusicallyInspired and myself joint-founded my website. You're more than welcome to ask me any question about Sierra music- I'm one of the most knowledegable people out there on the subject.

This looks really promising.

Most fan-RPG's totally suck and aren't worth 10 minutes of your time, so I have a lot of time for a quasi-QFG project like this one.

And it should be briefly noted that the emulation isn't very good, but is getting there. (So if anyone thinks that Munt will be a perfect software version of the MT-32, and is ptuting off buying one- still buy one :) We're talking 30-50 US bucks.)

Very briefly on the MT-32- aside from the MT-32 being a better synth than Adlib music cards (much more notes able to be used at once, hence better sounding instruments, not beeps and boops or clanks, and the MT had nice LA synthesis as well), it was also what Sierra's games (up to 1992/3) were compo...

I was going to say something to haradan, but after taking the quiz and getting the same score- I have to say I agree completely. The Larry question- what the hell. Larry 2 was an awful game, I had no idea how many points were in it :)

I've also never played QFG5.

Who wrote a spiel, Alistair? I'm confused.

It's exactly the same on my forums/website (and probably QuestStudios as well). People visit the website and not the forum, even though my forums have pretty much every detail months in advance of what makes it to the website (and most doesn't).

Hey man, I'm a major QFG4 fan, which makes me more harsh when commenting on fan works- but I absolutely love this! It's simply quality stuff, and much better than most fanart (although, this is more remakes of the original images rather than something new, I guess). Still, wonderful work. I hope to ...
