Okie, I dealt with Mannanan. Think I've done all I can do so I'm waiting for the Pirates to arrive. Do I need to just be patient and wait? Or did I miss doing something 1st before they show up?

Okie, I've done everything I can think to do. I've created all the spells except for the cat one. Can't figure out where to get the hidden page. I also don't know where to get the musical instrument. Which I assume is a lute from what I've read. Can anyone give me a hint to get further into the game...

I'm using Vista 5381.1 and I was able to get KQ1 to run.  I changed the compatibility to XP SP2 and disabled visual themes.  It played in a window that covered the whole screen so I thought that was fine.  The sound (music and speech) plays just fine as well.
