People should understand that making these games takes an extreme amount of time and dedication. Some people might be frustrated at AGDI for taking so long in finishing QFG2.. well you shouldnt be! I know for a fact how long it takes for a team to complete a game, and i also know how having prioriti...

I think the only StarWars movie that had effects that bugged me.. was episode 1. The whole battle sequence between the gungans and the trade federation was about as realistic as the power rangers "Zords". I found that while using CGI for certain things is cool... those completly generated ...

Yes, Sierra' real time feature was something new they started playing with. The amount of time spent doing nothing was intended to make the journey actually feel long.. though like most people said.. it didnt work out that way. If we talked about a Remake Kq3+ I'd problably say, I would flesh out th...

I assume with you're comment that the next game of IA team will be a masterpiece ? Haha :lol  .. who knows.. my lawyer told me not to promise anything. :lol Just what I was getting at! No matter how much you put into the orignal production there will always be things you could do better because you...

Ofcourse Piotyr, but right now IA is not looking to release a revamped version of KQ3.  Version 2 was a great improvement over Version 1. It is on the platter to go back fix things we are not completly happy with, but at this time we can not say when that will happen. EDIT: Before I get quoted on wh...

Well Decoy, If I was starting to design a game this is what I would do; First determine what size a game you want, make sure that you're not aiming too high (as in making a large scale game). Get a basic outline of the story and once you have that start mapping out the particular actions you would h...

In an ideal world I would like all the KQ games with a remake possibility (KQ3-KQ4-MOE) to be done by AGDI. LOL!.. as a member of IA, that hurts my tiny evil little heart. :lol Honestly though, we learned a lot from making Kq3, and it had its number of flaws, but we'll get much better with age. Who...

Exactly.. elements of Adventure Gaming have not always been the same, (depending on the time, like decoy_maloon said) while a "puzzle" driven gameplay is the best way to shortly describe an adventure game sadly thats just one of the elements.   Because that would mean we would have to delv...

Very true, I remember Ultima like it was yesterday (well not so much :lol )  it was released in 1980 and the subsequent series Ultima 3 (being the first one I played) was still very primitive, though like you said they had all those elements I mentioned, they didnt use them as the main element of th...

Piotyr, I was talking about the broad sense of the genre. Adventure games arent just "particular" formulaic creations with certain amounts of traditional gameplay to be recognized as such. FF fantasy has adventure game elements, why?.. Because that genre is so ample its hard to negate that...

Yeah DOSBOX.. it works fine for me.   Today we have tons of games that incorporate the Adventure Genre as part of their normal game play, and other games have had that for a while. Final Fantasy is an RPG but we could certaintle argue its also an adventure game, and so on with many RPG titles, and o...

Oh I never said the genre died out, what died out was the "classic" adventure game.

All of those are great games, though I've yet to purchase my own copies. :lol

Yes, both of you are completly right.

Adventure games where just not working at that time, atleast not in the classic format.

Good thing is though that Adventure games are still being made by people like AGDI and IA, and im damn proud to be a part of it. :smokin

Yeah i can't wait for TSL to come out, though Im still having some issues their last demo (My nVidia card seems has some issues with it). I was a little bit bummed that Vivendi tried to shut them down and later forced them to remove the "official" King's Quest name from their game, what ca...

MOE is something else completly. I look at it in the same manner that Kurdt does, it's simply a game in the same universe of kq quest.. but I fail to fully accept it as KQ8. The idea of turning MOE into a "classic" adventure game (like kq5 or kq6) is doable, without going too deeply into a...

kq7 is an interesting game, you'll certainly want to play if you want to experience the last of the King's Quest series. (I dont include MOE because i dont think it fits in with series).

The game is childish and the interface is a big letdown but it's still a good game to play.

My grandmother died of lung cancer and I helped take care of her during her last days.

Also one of my best friends had cancer (brain cancer) and fought through it, though today he is not the same person he was before I still help him out whenever I can.

Good luck on your hike it's a great cause.

Funny thing about XBOX360 , PS3 and Wii. PS2 is still outselling all of them.. that tells you 3 things. 1- people arent prepared to buy expensive consoles, 2 - people wont buy consoles with "new" ground breaking techonology, 3 - people are now buying cheaper more "outdated" syste...

Well the good thing is they can always do what they want despite any comments made in the past, It's not like you're going to sue them for not keeping their word on saying "maybe" it was their last project.  :p And yes, thats the hint I was talking about. They havent said anything about it..

QFG2 is a massive project, I doubt anyone can say.. "3 years is too long" after all the people of AGDI have been busy on other things too. Though i've never played QFG2 from start to finish, I know its a large game with endless possibilties for bugs and unknown errors. So the question the ...
