It's got nothing to do with difficulty. It's for the thrill and nostalgia of getting to import your character from the last Quest for Glory game into a newly-released Quest for Glory game one last time.

I think it would be more fun if there was some sort of easter egg if you tried to import your Al Emmo completion file.

By the way, I'm looking for someone to help me on a fangame. I need artists and animators and music guys and voice actors and writers. I have good idea for a game where this guy has to get a taco from a Mexican Hat Dance festival. It's called "Nacho Quest." Maybe even AGD2 could help me o...

I had hoped that the Collectors Edition of the game available from the Himalaya website would include a printed manual, but it wasn't a big deal that it didn't. If I had to choose between a printed manual and the postcard/wanted poster additions, I'd choose the latter any day since those extras real...

I definitely wasn't talking about Garden, though I can absolutely see how it looked like I was. I am so sorry, Garden, I was careless. I actually meant the people whose threads have recently had to be locked.

The whole "are we there yet" thing would be tolerable on its own, but when you combine it with the "I'll be obnoxious and insulting in the hope it will get me the game I want faster" people, it gets a bet much.

It hopefully shouldn't go down if the game isn't actually hosted on this site, but instead completely on external mirrors.

I find it very strange that you talk about "truth" and "fact" when your argument is based entirely on speculation and the assumption that no announcements somehow equates to insufficient progress.

That's very true. Though I don't think anyone in the Sierra fangame community has yet taken the drastic step of faking their own death (allegedly) to end a project.

I don't think it's officially canceled, but the term the creators are using is "indefinite hold". It sounds like the same thing to me, but maybe the project will get going again one day.

I'm far worse. Despite having both Laura Bow games as part of the Roberta Williams Anthology, I've never played either of them.

I also disagree that demos are allowed to be buggy...don't take this personal, but adventure game players are some of the most picky people in the world and many will eagerly jump on every small imperfection they can spot...and drag it kicking and screaming into the public spotlight. And why not......

party poopers, Who out there actually ever heard of this? If its not a commercial engine then, it's dying slowly of cancer. The youngest people who know it are all turning 20. I think he's trying to argue that Sierra fangames don't get sufficient publicity to introduce them to those who didn't grow...

That's fantastic news. I sure hope that Eriq's great work on the postcard and wanted poster will make it into the retail versions, but if cost pressures force them to be cut then it can't be helped. Is it safe to assume you're still looking for publishers in other territories?

We didn't really need to know that. Unless, of course, any of those catalogues featured the gorgeous Tyra Banks. In that case, high-resolution scans are required. :D
