Re: I have to say it – misconceptions about torrent.
Nice topic. You can tell me all you want to, but it's pretty obvious that the only people benefitting from Torrents are those with hi-speed connections. Slower connections (like most people on the net), are nothing more than stepping stones for these people. I've spend enough time with a slow connec...

Re: QFG3 EGA Remake!
The joke would have been better if you remade the screens from scratch like you did with KQ2SCI rather than converting the VGA backgrounds to EGA using the converter tool from SCI Companion.

I said that there were already KQ3 and 4 remakes. But then I said that if I wanted the remakes that continued the Father story line I'd also want a KQ3 and KQ4 VGA from AGDI. I'm not sure that will happen. Isn't Daniel Stacey missing? Also I think it could be seen as disrespectful if AGDI made Kq3+...

I prefer my method: you pick a fighter and give it magic, stealth and lockpick. You won't have the climbing skill but you don't need it because in Qfg2 you can buy the Levitate spell. Erpy's method works only for the Ega version of the game, because in it you can change your thief class for the figh...

Wouldn't Qfg5 make a better candidate for a remake? Reimagining the current scrolling backgrounds into non scrolling, Vga backgrounds. Making all quests completable for all of the 4 gameplay styles, making the combats a unique and intelligent experience for all 4 classes instead of the mouse clickin...

Plus it would be VERY wierd if QFG2 had voice, when QFG1 and QFG3 do not. Weirdness is not a reason to level downward. Speech would be great, but to respect those who gave their time to voice characters, a speech pack must be released at the same time as the game, not a couple months after, to bene...

Someone could have readied several savegames with everything at 100 and lost them in a format. In the end, if someone cheat to have better stats, it's their problem for ruining the experience for themselves. It is possible to not give a name to your character in qfg1, or give it a name you don't lik...

Having a bit of knowledge in coding, I appreciate these post, Erpy. These last updates not only gave us an insight on how tedious and hairpulling it is to correct the bugs for a game of this scale, it also show how dedicated you are at polishing a game like qfg2vga, probably more dedicated than they...

What makes the difference is knowing the reality of the situation from the outset, and then weighing up whether it's worth releasing the game under Vivendi's control, or giving up and wasting all the time and effort. For me, the first option is the only choice I'd consider, even if the only option...

The item that counts is the shield. If you're a thief or a wizard and have no sword, but use the suck blue frog to get a shield Hate to be nitpicky and all, but you can also get a shield in Qfg2 if you buy the chain armor in the Qfg1 remake and import your character to Qfg2. ;) I wonder if that bug...

I agree with Gron that it's a waste to let the fruit of years of work sit in the freezer, possibly permanently, but I doubt this was a split-second decision. If anything, the team's decision is to be respected, even though I would have liked to see things take a different turn. There's not a lot of...

Many of these people lack the understanding that much of their success is acquired by luck, and the generous contributions of many people on these forums who gave them a chance. They disregard the fact that people gave them a chance, but when the roles are reversed, they fail to return the favor. ...

I highly doubt they will make another remake now that Himalaya Studios finally released its first commercial game, at least, not anytime soon. Not only they probably have a lots of ideas for commercial games they can't wait to start working on, but they can't allow themselves to delay further releas...

The calendar in QFG2
QFG2 has a very strict time limit, making getting 100 on all skills and spells rather challenging, there's something I always wondered about: What happen when you miss the depart of the caravan on day 16, will it be back on day 32? Also, what happen when you can't figure out how to kill an elemental...

What Gron said. I'm not going to be using this method for KQ2SCI. I'll finish KQ2SCI with the current method I'm using of vector drawing it from scratch. I'll test it out for my next game and if I like the results that's what I'm going with. I guess we'll be able to judge more correctly when you'll...

I am personally not impressed and I prefer the other backgrounds that you've drawn, MusicallyInspired. It's simply too obvious that it was generated with a program that convert colors values, rather than drawn by an artist who can make the difference between background, foreground, shadow and object...
