Re: Kickstarter

I do think, though, that some people are abusing KS in ways. People talk about running a KS for every project that some group might want to start, and I can say that's something that IQ does not intend to do at all. It's to Kickstart a project and hopefully bring it some success to continue on. Not...

Same here.

I'm not certain, but I think I got the translations by speaking with Shameen.

Re: Easter Eggs

The decorated room looks awesome. I got a fan after beating Keapon Laffin at his magic game twice (I think I got a boost to Force Bolt when I beat him the first time. I also got a boost to Flame Dart after beating Aziza). Not sure if it's an easter egg (made me laugh though), but a "CRITICAL HI...

Re: Thought Erasmus' Maze was hard? Try Keapon Laffin's game

Yeah, Keapon's Challenge is fairly tough at first, you just have to get used to it. I don't know if anyone else already got it and mentioned it, just in case I won't spoil it for anyone, but beat him twice and you'll get a gift. ;) Tried doing the tight rope with a mage character with decent agility...

I didn't have any problems hiding inside the closet... have you looked inside it and taken bowl? If you haven't, maybe that's why.

Visit the Adventurer's Guild hall, Uhura will give you a tutorial. You can also train with her as much as you want to get used to the combat system.

Re: As we head into the evening in PST...

I never played five. I borrowed one and two from my Cousin, bought four. Then Bought Anthology. It was amazing, I actually found it at a flea market in rather good shape but with no books. Unfortunately the internet hadn't evolved well at the time and my copy had no manual. I'd emailed sierra sayin...

Re: Games like QfG, but not necessarily adventure games...

Has anyone played The Fifth Disciple ? It's the closest game to the QfG series that I've encountered. There's a few others that I've mentioned in the past: Neverend , Gooka : The Mystery of Janatris and Arcatera: The Dark Brotherhood . The first two are alright if you find them fairly cheap. I recom...

The game couldn't be released at a better time for me, tomorrow is a national holiday here (Independence Day). I've got my rice crackers ready and I'm about to start brewing some coffee, I'll be up all night playing it. EDIT: Sartori! Go fix your BTR at GTZ! I've tried to get in touch with her for ...

Well that came right out of left field... Does that make you feel a little off guard? It's okay to argue and have different opinions, I'm just trying to not be left out of right field... Off guard? No. Confused, somewhat, about your reactions to other users and the disparaging tone of your posts in...

Personally, I'd kill for a remake of Gold Rush.

Well, perhaps not kill per se, but I'd throw something at someone (I don't guarantee impact) for a remake of Gold Rush.

Relax, I'm not about to be offended. And hey, it turns out I've owned a copy of Morrowind for years now. It's been sitting on my desk along with a bunch of other CDs I must have gotten with one of the many video cards I bought over the years. So I guess I'm playing III next. Then I'll play II. I ta...

I don't understand what "considering some have recommended Oblivion of all games" means. Are saying it sucks or that it doesn't resemble Quest for Glory? Both. Though in my case, "sucks" puts it lightly. It wasn't an attack against you though, rereading it it seems that way, but...

Games I've come across (or rather, tracked down) that I feel resemble Quest for Glory a lot are The Fifth Disciple , Arcatera: The Dark Brotherhood and Gooka: The Mystery of Janatris . The three have their fair share of puzzles, with Fifth Disciple being in my opinion the best. Arcatera is, I'm afra...

I'd say it's a toss up between the Secret of Monkey Island and Gabriel Knight 1.

The Discworld and Broken Sword series deserve worthy mentions too.
