Re: QFG2 Release Update

Okay, I'm out. I have to be at work early tomorrow so I can tell my manager that his budget got cut by $100k. Yay.

Re: QFG2 Release Update

This is my obligatory crying session where I whine and display my impatience and a distinct lack of savvy. Ok, hope you enjoyed it. Time for sleep. Savvy? I didn't know we had Captain Jack Sparrow as a forum member. Sleep well, Captain! The game will be waiting for you, I'm sure. I actually liked t...

Re: QFG2 Release Update

I've only read the first two books and the four prequels. Muad'dib, as interesting as he is, could neatly be summed up by "Hey, I have godlike powers... neat! Let's mess with the status quo!" Er... I've kind of derailed the thread here... sorry bout that!

Re: so can we suck a blue frog?

Whaa? If you never played without cheating, then why did you play at all? I don't mean that to sound mean, I'm legitimately curious.

Re: QFG2 Release Update

Nicely played. I'm pretty sure that in the original release that those lines are narrated by the Princess Irulan -- which would make sense because that's an excerpt from her diary. (Why is she writing that in her diary, does she have a REALLY poor memory?)

Re: QFG2 Release Update

August 24, the year is 12191. Know that the whole of the known universe is ruled by the Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV. Know too, that the Quest for Glory 2 remake was released today. The most valuable resource in the Emperium is the spice Melange... Just teasing, how about just a pinch more patience? ...

Re: QFG2 Release Update

I've been lurking here for years, so needless to say I'm super excited for the imminent release. In an uncharacteristic show of solidarity, I bought Al Emmo last week solely because I admire what you guys do and want to support that. Congratulations on a job well done!

Re: Continuity Errors in Trial by Fire *spoilers*

Well they kind of are, aren't they? Don't they call them continuity errors in movies if like a character is holding a gun in his right hand, but in the next shot it's in left? It's the same sort of thing...

Re: Katrina

You know, for some reason I thought I had tried asking about Katrina the last time I played QfG2. I think she says she doesn't know you and can't be your sponsor... but this could just be my memory playing tricks on me again. I guess I could suck some blue frogs to port myself there and ask.

What scares me are games like Second Life. I was amazed to find out that there is actually an exchange rate between the money used on that game and real money. This is actually true of most MMORPGs albeit for most it's a borderline violation of the usage agreement. In fact this "money to game-...

Fooled!

I was fooled into thinking that there was a new journal update until I recalled that 6/13 is actually tomorrow. Then I noticed that this sticky meant the 6/13/06 designer journal update and felt even more foolish. Woe betide me for trying to read the sticky.

So uh... are you saying that QFG turns you into some kind of  :hat whereas Baldurs Gate makes you a 8o ?

Not so much comedy in this one, but I still recommend Planescape: Torment to anyone who enjoyed QFG and Baldurs Gate. If that's up your alley, you might try and dig up Dark Sun: The Shattered Lands from the depths of oblivion. You'll need Dosbox to run that one. If you're up for some quality dungeon...

QFG3 Meant to Be

I personally enjoyed QFG3 but I'm not sure that it was originally meant to be the third game in the series. If I dig out my old QFG2 game, beat it, and wait after the end credits the message: You can now save your character to import into Quest for Glory: Shadows of Darkness! The desert moon turns r...
