Re: QFG2 Release Update

I apologize if this seems like I am critical or condescending towards others, but I've never been one to "wait on a big opening." I m ean, you'd never had caught me at the "first day" they sold a PS3 or a Xbox 360 ro anything like that. Or any game. I'm too impatient in that resp...

The only thing I regret is not getting my certificate. So there are downsides to not checking in often ;)

Dude, relax. Sunday is a day of rest. Let the poor people rest. I keep checking in every few hours. It'll show up sooner or later.

Hell, I'm gonna go off and cook for a few hours, :D

Re: ** Quest for Glory II OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED **

Anytime someone asks some variation of "Is it ready yet?" some great cosmic clock in some faraway place labelled "QFG2VGA release date" gets set back 12 hours :P

In case you're wondering why it tkaes so long :P

Re: QFG2VGA Download

I'm cheerful :D Edit: Anyhow, it does occur to me that these nice folks might also be busy setting UP all those possible download locations, organizing them to get ready to post, etc. Its probably all quite time consuming to do that, to test it to make sure it works, etc. etc. etc. I could perfectly...

I knew about this for about a week or two, and I planned to apply, but I dont think my schedule will permit me to, so I will take a pass - I don't want to commit to something I can't be certain on. I do want to wish all of you at AGDI congratulations on reaching this benchmark.  You're that much clo...

I probably will replay QFG from beginning to end when QFG2 comes out.  I dont intend to just jump IN to QFG2 (at least I'm not thinking that).  I've been replaying alot of old games - finishing up Escape from monkey Island right now.  And I have Fallout and Fallout 2 on the list too.  I might try Ar...

I'd be willing to test it, although I don't really have much to bring to the table besides: a.) the ability to set time aside to test it.  b.) stubbornness (don't ask me how much time I'll devote to an RPG just to win a pointless minor prize..)  c.) a desire to help out. I really only stumbled onto...

back when you still had text bad games and MUDs (prior to MMORPGs) I would play one on the BBS I signed onto (I also telnetted out to other BBSes and such to play other MUDs.) and they were HORRIBLY addicting because of the amoutn of time and effort you had to invest itno them (levelling.)   Back th...

I don't think you'll quiet anyone really.   It'll still happen over and over again until the game comes out, unfortunately.  I have never understood why, but some people never bother to consider if other people have countlessly asked the same question they want to ask.. Kudos to you AGC2 and all the...

Yeah, I'd think that paying people to work on the game is a no-no as far s the permission/agreement thing might go.    As I understand it it was supposed to be an entirely "free" effort. Really, I understand people are impatient for this game to come out, but... it'll come out when it come...

King's quest 4.  Not only were there a plethora of timed/monster baesd puzzles that could drive you nuts (troll in the cave, ogre.)  But you invariably met them in awkward as hell situations.  The troll in the effing dark of the cave in particular was always frustrating.  Especially that point wher ...

the thing is though, beta testing, as adeyke says, ISN'T a reward, nor should it be treated as such.  Beta testing is as much a responsibility as it is a privelege to play the game ahead of time - think about how much the team has talked about testing it.   A beta tester is going to be asked to go t...

hey I AM grateful.  There's a reason why I never complain. I think though you really have to cut them some slack on the projected release dates.  THey've explained the reasons and frankly I think they're quite good ones. Furthermore,  as they've indicated, this is a big, complicated project for them...
