Re: Duke Nukem Forever coming May 3rd! New Trailer!
Yeah, it does. If that's what you want to call it. Apparently it doesn't even have a console window to properly administrate your server. It has nothing. It's nothing but a little icon in your system tray with the only option being to EXIT. The most you get is a pre-setup by inputting command line p...

Re: What do you guys think of the new Wii system?
I had given up on Nintendo. This new system gives me cause for hope. Especially with all the immense third-party support. Arkham City! Ninja Gaiden 3! Aliens: Colonial Marines! EA Sports! Give it time and we'll see The Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, and Duke Nukem games on the WiiU!

Re: Duke Nukem Forever coming May 3rd! New Trailer!
Hah.
Seriously, though. The key to enjoying it is to not expect anything. I'm just going to enjoy it for what it is and forget the problems....unless they rear their heads just far too much. So far the demo was easy (after figuring out a strategy in the second map) but I enjoyed it a lot.

I find your lack of faith....amusing. Well, it comes out in 3 more days. You'll see lots of unboxing videos then, I'm sure. If that makes a difference.

It was great fun. Just very short. But that's a demo for you. Had two levels. Same as the PAX reveal demo except with a little extra exploratory/puzzle gameplay at the end. It was all a small taste really. But it was just something to be able to play DNF.

Re: King's Quest II SCI in your browser
Actually, you can. Currently I'm having problems with the SCI parser understanding the phrase "get basket of goodies". It does, however, recognize "get goodies basket". It should be smart enough to understand that sentence with the additional preposition means the same thing but ...

King's Quest II SCI in your browser
The SCI Programming Community website has added a new feature: the ability to play in-progress SCI games right in your browser using jDOSBox. I've added the current build of King's Quest II SCI for all to play. Try it out! It's completable up until the top of the quartz tower where the lion resides....

Re: How long to play through King's Quest
If you know what you're doing it could takes no more than 15-20 minutes with full points. If you don't know what you're doing, it could take a while. It's not a large game but the ambiguity of having no clues where to start and to just explore the countryside increases play time.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever coming May 3rd! New Trailer!
Today is May 3rd. The day of the original release date of DNF before it was postponed to June 14th (June 10th international). But it is indeed coming on the 14th. Randy Pitchford, president and CEO of Gearbox Software has confirmed that the game is complete (all bugs squashed) and going through the ...

Maybe they'll reconsider and actually allow you the ability to walk.
EDIT: Well crap. I should have pre-ordered it. Then I could have used the free game voucher after the refund for Jurassic Park when it actually becomes available. Stink.

Thank you for such an in-depth thought-out review! It really means a lot to us who developed the game that you took the time to write down your thoughts on pretty much every aspect. Thank you. As for the soundtrack ETA, I'm not sure. It's going to be a lot of work to rework everything (I lost most o...

I'll take Amnesia and Super Meat Boy if you don't mind giving two to one person! My Steam name is MusicallyInspired (big surprise)
I have Audiosurf already and have been attempting to expedite the release date of Portal 2.

Re: Possibility for releases to support real Roland MT-32??
Jones is correct. It's low res 32-bit graphics (millions of available colours). VGA is defined specifically as 256 colours at a 320x200 resolution or 16 colours at 640x480. But even most of the Sierra VGA games didn't properly "support" the MT-32. They merely slapped on a General MIDI SysE...

I loved SOR2. Also loved Final Fight on the SNES. My brother and I once played straight through SOR2 to the end. Fun times. I enjoyed the soundtrack. Big surprise.
