Re: Torin's Passage (and a few questions)
my mom bought me that game when i was about 12. i found it a little dorky but enjoyed it.

Re: The "Thanks" thread!
i finally got to play as the fighter the last week (it took me 6 months to play as the mage and thief as a beta tester!). i love it. the fighter was always the weakest character, in my opinion, in the first and second games, for not having nearly enough special stuff to do.. not so with your remake....

hahaha yes exactly.
i am not kidding when i say the movie offers absolutely nothing new in characters, plot, or morals.

Re: Avatar
I don't remember Christianity being mentioned at all. The only religion in the movie, I think, is that of the natives, which is a pretty generic monotheistic earth-worship amalgamation of your average westerner's idea of indigenous religion/what hippies talk about at rainbow gatherings. naturally, l...

Re: Who Painted the Sierra Boxes' Cover Art?
i would have looted the crap out of that place as well. i have the feeling a lot of the people grabbed it thinking the games and copyrighted characters/images would be abandoned and eventually enter the public domain, and realized there was no such luck (for many many years to come). producing bootl...

Re: Avatar
I heard the movie is very anti-US military and that you're supposed to cheer when the American or western military service members are blown up. Did anyone think that? it's a fictional military force in the future that operates as a mercenary service for corporate entities determined to destroy the...

Re: The "Thanks" thread!
I want to give my deepest thanks to AGDI and especially Erpy and Anonymous 2 for making me a part of the beta testing team. I had just been wrapping up my test run as a thief when the opportunity to drive around the country came to me. I took it, came back, and then hitchhiked the country again with...

Re: Progress Update Thread (formerly known as quest for glory 2)
Hello. Looks like things are progressing pretty nicely. Sorry I haven't been around at all to do more testing, but I'm now hitchhiking the country and don't have much time for the internets these days.. best of luck to you guys. The game is truly amazing and I know fans will love it.

still its good to keep mention of ATOTK it's one of the largest fan games made. Although if you're looking for a QFG spinoff make sure to try Quest For Glory 4 1/2: So you thought you were a hero. It's a parody of QFG along with other Sierra titles and pop culture but it's genuinely humourous. I'm ...

Cool, you gonna add any new wishes to the list? i always thought it would be good if you could wish for a certain nice item or spell If you speak to the Djinni, he'll reveal that he volunteered to be in the ring to help a future Hero complete Suleiman's prophecy by defeating Iblis. Things like rich...

Thought i'd use an allusion we'd all get, y'know? As far as the non-issue of the voice pack goes, I wouldn't want to see one, anyway. I think a lot of people have an idea by now of how the characters 'sound' in their heads, and besides the enormous workload the project would add, it would just be im...

Calvert666.. you've chosen the most mellow and civil message board I've ever seen in the 12 years I've been using message boards to be angry about a non-threatening post on a message board. There are an almost infinite number of places to be tough on the internets, but what you're doing is akin to s...

I have already played the game through as the Mage, but I spend more time focused on parts that seem programming-intensive. I left a lot of saved games, so I can go back to those parts if I have an idea. The best thing to do seems to be to try everything you can think of in the room, especially if i...

I'd like to put out some suggestions for all future testers. I'm not an expert on beta testing (this is my first time), but I've figured out a system that really works for me, and could help some of you. Pretend that your hero is a drunken, ill-prepared, aggressive, inconsiderate idiot. Spend some q...

I had some problems with the quicktime movies as well.. I couldn't get the final movie (of the dragon dying) to play, so everyone just stood around awkwardly and I couldn't get to the end of the game. I uninstalled quicktime entirely and then installed the ancient version that came with QFG5. It wor...

For everyone that still wants to help out, but didn't get to be a beta tester - why not introduce Quest for Glory to a friend? Lots of us are oldschool gamers, but there's no real reason why the younger crowd wouldn't find something special in the series. Those in their twenties, teens, and younger ...
