I don't think it's necessary to actually sign up for Twitter to follow somebody's tweets. Try the RSS feed (http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/50412827.rss) or just bookmark Himalaya's Twitter link itself.

Re: Some thoughts on the combat system (SPOILERS)
Yeah, the cannonball strike is seriously hax against Khaveen. It's really all you need; quad-slashes are just extra pain. You just need to start jamming on the "special" key repeatedly when you see Khaveen leave his feet for a side-slash, skull-splitter, or leaping lunge (the guy loves to ...

Re: Did the remake maintain the neutrality of classes?
Because force bolts are weaker, hence the "ultimate magic attack" is reserved for those who have the wizard's class. As for the irony...would it really have been more suitable for an air wizard to boost flame dart? :) Honestly, the "water wizard teaches you flame darts" thing bo...

Re: Please make easy combat patch !!!
A thief is indeed in trouble if they try to get in a throwing match with a brigand; I tended to avoid facing brigands with my thieves for this reason. However: A thief with passable throwing ability and a sensible (read: large) supply of daggers has an enormous advantage against scorpions and jackpa...

Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.
I could never hope to slay the thing as a mage; I doff my hat to anyone who could, and I can defeat hard-mode Khaveen reasonably reliably. Really, I only ever killed the elemental (fairly) as a fighter. Ducking the punches and following up with a rising slash was the safest and least exhausting meth...

Re: Please make easy combat patch !!!
The difficulty with that is that the moment you gain double swings (or triple in case of the fighter), which effectively doubles your damage output, you'll mow through enemies in a heartbeat. That said, I'm contemplating adding a 50% single-hitpoint damage bonus to every attack after all other calc...

Also, the statue at the end is referred to as "Rocky" as well.
But also, try telling Keapon about the earth elemental after you've defeated it.

Re: The "Thanks" thread!
You can already set the "difficulty" slider to low if you must. But the higher that slider goes, the more satisfying your eventual triumphs will be. I am thinking of posting a combat guide thingy at some point, but I don't know how enthusiastically my tasty AGDI overlords would feel about ...

Re: Monsters running away?
You only lose daggers if you flee. I know that. :P I didn't carry thirty or so daggers into battle because I wanted a reserve to replace the ones I lost, or something silly like that: I carried all those daggers because I intended to throw every single one of my spares at the enemy (before and then...

First of all, water zones are completely static. They never change, since air elementals don't change other zones. Yeah, Aziza's a naughty girl and made her game have a way OP water element. ;P In other words, if your character is an earth elemental standing on an earth zone and the earth zone chan...

Low honor is a mark of pride for a thief ;) Eh, most of my thieves donated generously to charitable causes, just to balance out their vile misdeeds. ...that is, after they were finished buying daggers. A lot of daggers. One walkthrough for QFG2EGA advised carrying at least 20 daggers at all times; ...

Re: jackalman fight reward amount
In beta, piles of jackals would be somewhat lower in value than the individual corpses would be worth (more difficult to search a tangled pile), but certainly not nearly as low as four for four. Make sure to search ALL the bodies, as ATC mentioned. Also, if you flee during a jackpack fight, any jack...

Also, if Aziza casts Open on the pillar in her elemental's path (which she probably will), it might end up in front of you, with the same results. Aziza does get "stuck" and make blatantly dumb decisions at times, but 1) I pretend she's going easy on me 2) She's an AI, and AIs are pretty m...

Re: combat system is better than any other QFG
I actually used blocking/countering more often most of the time since almost every normal attack can be blocked, but only high and low attacks can be countered with a dodge-based special. (plus the skullsplitter, while powerful, is difficult to pull off) Plus I always thought that multi-blocking lo...
