Not sure if this is a spoiler or not, but is it possible to miss the pirate ship like in the original?

Roger Wilco as an idiot

One of the funniest aspects of the SQ series is it's treatment of it's protagonist, Roger Wilco, who we all know is slightly inept, and a bit of an idiot. But was he always? Space Quest 1 portrays Roger as a lazy, clumsy janitor who would much rather nap in dark closets than do any actual cleaning, ...

Re: Hex Editing Saved Games

Thanks for the tips brainiac! What would be a good and relatively easy hex editing utility to use? Someone on the SHP Forums mentioned a program that was able to do all the searching and replacing for you, you just had to locate the skill, grind it till it rises, then search for the new skill value,...

Hex Editing Saved Games

Hey Everyone,

I've been reading some stuff about hex editing and it seems overly complicated, but kinda fun in a way. I'd like to try and mess around with hex editing my skills in QFG3, specifically my spell skills. How would I locate and edit, for example, the spell skills for force and calm?

Re: Well, I did it!!

Thanks for the reply Erpy!! I managed to find the item numbers, and can give myself some of the items that go in my room (like the potted plant) but I can't put it in the chest or anything, I guess because it was never meant to be in your inventory to begin with. But it's fun to be able to have both...

Well, I did it!!

I unlocked Battle Mode and frog mode!!! The only thing I've really done so far is give myself enough money to be able to buy all the items to decorate my room with. I have a few questions though. Can you get a bumper sticker and game box in the same game, or is it either or? How many other items hav...

*Hypothetical* King's Quest 1 +?

King's Quest 1 is a very fun game, and quite nostalgic, and I know King's Quest 1 VGA was done 1:1 for the sake of said nostalgia, but let's say hypothetically sometime down the road it were given the "King's Quest 2 VGA + treatment" Do you think it would benefit from such a treatment? Wha...

One more Question...

I was browsing past posts and Mr. Stacey has indicated that he may at some point continue the story of the father and his quest for the "item" at some point. I don't know if he's still around these parts, but does anyone know what his stance is on the subject these days? It's a real shame ...

Really awesome game guys!!!

I just got done playing through your remake of King's Quest 2 for the first time, and I have to say I was impressed!! I have to confess that the earlier King's Quest games never really interested me that much, they always seemed like "loosely connected fairy tale references strung together to m...

Fighter imported as a wizard?

I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not, but I just tried importing my fighter character from QFG2VGA into WoW and it told me he was imported as a wizard, whereas at the end of Trial it told me my fighter was successfully saved. This might have to do with having the reversal spell, since I went thro...

Add my name to the "Pizza Pulverizers" list! Dr. Cranium would be proud! (Too bad I can't take it with me to Mordavia as proof...beats those avocado and garlic sandwiches!) Sorry to momentarily go OT, but I recently heard of a way to capture the blue frog...I've seen him before at the oasi...
