Same problem, restart crashes the game.

When I disarm the trap and pick up the fool's gold, I get a point like I'm supposed to.  Then I go throw the gold in the fountain, talk to the merchant, and watch him pocket the gold.  I can then go back, disarm the trap again, and get more fool's gold, along with another point.  This can be repeate...
