Re: Thief run-through! Questions inside.
The Thief 'hero' is more cunning and craft a man than he is given credit for. He will steal; by sneaking into the houses of those who fawn upon him with doe-eyes, he will line his own purse with countless coins while making sure that all those who see him as a hero must do so in rags and from slums....

Thief run-through! Questions inside.
I'm carrying a Thief through this run, since I did it was a Fighter with lots of Magic going for Paladinhood. (Paladinship?) So far, it's fun, but a question; is the Silver Dagger an upgrade from normal daggers, or is it just like a normal dagger? I disarmed myself and just finished up using it to c...

Re: WHAT AN AWESOME REMAKE
I agree completely. This remake was AWESOME! It was everything I expected of it and more. I want to keep playing it- my next run's going to be a Thief. Not sure I want to try a Magic User, but I may yet. Regardless, the graphics were fine-tuned, and damn- that battle system is RIDICULOUS. I have the...

Re: Can't get into Aziza!
Well, the obvious ones are to be careful that you have indeed typed your name correctly, but I'll trust you're doing that one. Heh. Then, have you been sent? It may or may not be a requirement that you deliberately be sent by Keapon. Maybe not. And beyond that, well... I'm not sure. Did you accident...

Re: Games like QfG, but not necessarily adventure games...
Ooh. That Dragonsphere one looks good. I just find that QFG really holds an odd place as being one game that, to me at least, is truly 'irreplaceable' in that its carrying out is so unique and it really stands out in its ability to mix puzzle with action. QFG holds a special place blah blah blah. I'...

Re: Quest for Glory 1 Remake - halls of magic mastery
Technically, I think the Sword Master in Castle Spielburg's courtyard is the 'Fighter sidequest'.
Pretty boring, huh?

Re: QG4 Problem... and it's NOT the infamous Error 52
That's the one I downloaded, yes, but it seems to have done nothing. I extract it to my QFG4 folder, right? I did that, but it had no effect. Should I be reinstalling my QFG4 as well or something?

Re: QG4 Problem... and it's NOT the infamous Error 52
I suppose I'll bug here, and I think my problem's error 52; lemme check. It's the one what with the Chernovies and the Mad Monk's Tomb. (checking...) Yeah, it's error 52. I used the patch from ArcadeTimesSquare or whatsitcalled, and even restarted my game, and yet still to no avail. I'm running off ...

Re: QFG Artwork
No word of a lie, Lady Pyro, I am officially an addict of your style. (and not just because you and Tye are the only two sponsors of QFG fanart I've ever seen, either. Your style however, Tye, is so interesting and unique that I can't stop twiddling my fingers to hope there's more. Like a kid waitin...

Quest for Glory 4 help, this time
Okay, so I import my spiff-and-span new Paladin. He's buff, he's been training magic since his youngin' days in QFG1. I was rather thrilled when I got Lightning Ball in QFG3, because it's awesome and stuff. But I was morbidly disappointed when my importing deleted it! Is there someway to prevent thi...

Alternate Drives for QFG Imports
Hey. Surprising as it may be my current computer actually has no Floppy drive. This (as you can imagine) pissed me off to no end when I beat QFG1VGA with a Thief whose stats I had cuddled and cared for, each of them being no less than 50 (exceptions being the fact that he has no parry and Dodge sitt...

Maybe it's been suggested, but a fan-based QFG spinoff of some sort wouldn't be terrible. A 'sidestory' or 'afterwards' of one or more of the games? All I can do is give ideas, though, don't really know any actual programmers. There was one site I saw that had a game which looked exactly like QFG (l...

An ode to AGDI
Came a hero from the East; with cheats, he was quite the beast "Razzle Dazzle Root Beer"- for the game was hard in that young year "Where are all the graphics?"- said the boy amidst point-and-clicks Quest for Glory one; text-based parser, yet still much fun Then came the remake; ...
