The (unofficial) translation patch for RS3 I used seems to be reasonably complete. At least I got to the end and didn't run into any uncomprehensible content.

Re: Becoming paladin

Moreover, the *character* doesn't know what the glasses do (other than that they make things look funny).
I think that the proper "paladiny" thing to do (for the character) might be just turning (facing) away the moment he realizes what't going on, but how to pass such choice on the player?

Re: HOW TO: Play the Game in Linux

Whoa... where were you guys when I tried (and failed) to run the game with Wine on Ubuntu about a month ago? Will try it tomorrow. Thanks in advance. I was dredging in my full-time $DAYJOB. Which has so far prevented me from getting past day 1 in the game :( Note: I have wine 1.1.4 (soon-to-be 11.5...

Re: HOW TO: Play the Game in Linux

1) I dont' do it for the challenge. I do it because I have a linux box running 100% of the time and no windows box to run anything. 2) No need for those elaborate procedures. You only need directx9 to see the intro movie (AGDI logo). I just installed the game (wine Qfg2Vga.exe -- the instalator), co...

Re: Weapons Master

I am pretty sure it is:
- set the *game* speed to minimum
- challenge the weapon master
- *hold* the LEFT_ARROW button (don't mash anything - the keyboard's repeat rate should take care of everything)

Re: Ports to other systems

I haven't really played yet, but it seems to work under wine 1.1.0 (on linux-x86).
Mostly. At the beginning, I get a video playing error, missing idirectdrawmediastream interface. But it starts, lets me make a hero, talk to Abdulla, go out ...
And isn't devilishly slow.

You may also try the Wine emulator. There are binaries for windows - and I think it still has win16 compatibility and w3.11 mode.

Re: Help with my game

The whole tail part still looks weird ("pull" the far end of the back wing somewhat left and down (image-wise directions)) and the near end to compensate) and slightly too big, but it is already getting much better. Plates look good. I don't see any bolts, so good too, I assume (they are u...

Yes, I was wondering, too, why Golbeza [1], who in the end turned good, and not the real villain of the game (whose name escaped me and I was too lazy to look it up)

[1] with an a at the end - that's how the translation I had spelled him.

Also, tradition. Old habits die hard. Re: Help with my game

I shortened the wings and added the left back wing. Is this better? Yes, somewhat. If you look from the tail to the front, it seems the plane is twisting. Does anybody else see this? That's (almost) exactly what I was talking about earlier. Try drawing "helper" parallel lines through the ...

Re: Help with my background art?

The left wing looks like it slants upward, while the right wing looks like it slants downward.
Also, the tail seems to be missing the left wing-thingy entirely. It should be obscured, but only mostly.

The perspective seems to be a little too off:
The ground and water-in-well look like we are up in the air and looking a bit downward, but the vertical surfaces look like we are down and looking horizontally.
