Re: What is your favourite Space Quest game?
Oops, sorry. My termonology isn't quite up to speed. Whatever the engine it was that made the text-bar pause the game while typing, that's what I meant.

Re: What's Your Favourite Quest For Glory Game?
I voted for IV because I love the story and the characters. I don't like 3 all that much because it seemed like a filler game to me. QfG2 was awesome and so was 4, but 3 was just about par.

Re: What is your favourite Space Quest game?
Space Quest 3 was the first text adventure I ever played. Also it was my favorite era of text adventures. I love the schiduv games. (KQ4, QfG1&2, CB, etc. etc.) It was pretty decent graphics but it wasn't dumbed down too much by point-and-click.

Sierra, sentimental and nostalgic reasons. I grew up with it. Lucasarts kicks major tail, but my heart lies with the "quests."

Re: Which adventure game did you enjoy the most?
My very first Sierra adventure game was Mixed Up Mother Goose. My dad brought it home when I was five or six years old. I don't know if any of you has played it, but it's impossible to beat the game without a perfect 18 out of 18. So you can imagine how long it took before it was more of a finger ex...

I'd like to see Rosella as one of the harem girls.
Oh and technically Genesta from KQ4 made it into QfG2 as Erana. It even mentions how much they look alike.

Has anyone played Firehawk? Maybe I'm just bad at arcade games, but I can't get past level 4. Oh and Gold Rush was quite difficult as I remember. I thought Colonel's Bequest was hard too as there was no way of knowing what your score was.

So you're snowed in for weeks. Your school got fried and was closed indefinitely. You were able to have electricity and you played one of the darkest games as if it was a 1930's horror film. You lucky SOB! Now I want to play it in black and white. That sounds so cool. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Favourite Original King's Quest Game
I don't see anything wrong with that bit of dialouge? Probably just me though. Well, it's a little harder to see my point when it's just in writing. Mostly it's the voice acting as someone pointed out before. The quote in boldface "Of course I own it. It's mine!" was just redundant. I tho...

Re: Question about Ad Avis
For fear of sounding morbid, fear of death can do strange things to someone. Like in Pirates of the Caribbean 2 when Davy Jones said to his prisoners "Do you fear death?" and that one guy said yes, it was obvious that he could see what he was getting himself into, but he would rather spend...

Re: Favourite Original King's Quest Game
I just played all of the King's Quest games in a row and I've come to the conclusion that IV and VI are the best in the series. And after close consideration, V really bugs me. I love the story of V and the puzzles are brilliant, but the game is ruined by the poorly done script. There are parts of i...

World of Sierra
There's a World of Warcraft and Lord of the Ring's on-line. I wish there was a World of Sierra. One could play as any character from any genre of Sierra adventure games. Wouldn't it be neat to have a Star-con officer fighting Brigands alongside with a decendant of King Graham?

I love to see a goode olde Doctor Who fan. That would be pretty cool if David Tennant was the Hero. He's pretty used to playing a character without a name. He could just say "I'm the Hero"

Re: How do I play using Windows Vista??
I'm not sure, but I myself use Vista on my laptop. I am using Dosbox 0.72. One problem I had was that the gameplay was way too slow. If that's the cause of your problem, you can speed up dosbox by hitting ctrl-F12 a few times. If that doesn't work there is a website called "A Hero's Quest for G...

Re: How many new adventure gamers?
I've been playing these games since I was 5. I would dictate to my older brother to type the commands since I couldn't read or write, so you can imagine who actually was playing... (it was still fun to watch). And we had tons of Sierra games. Every month practically we would go to the software store...

Mage is my absolute favorite. I play the game with all of them, though. Mages get staffs and that cool battle with the Faerey Queen in QfGIV. (One of my all-time favorite parts)

Re: What was the most difficult Sierra game ever?
KQ3. Oy Vey! Usually I am capable of memorizing the copyright puzzles, such as the mountain puzzles in KQ6 or the codes in SQ5 but the spells in KQ3 were frustrating and time consuming. Ironically, however, when I played the remake of KQ3 I actually felt bad because the source of my frustration was ...

I'm not sure of the actors name, but it's the guy who played Prince Wendel in "The Tenth Kingdom." I had to think of someone who was naturally blonde and had experience in a fantasy setting.

I have to go with IV. It was well-structured and the puzzles were challenging but fun. And I beat it without hints, so that's always a plus.

I voted for Quest for Glory IV. I loved the dark story line and all the wonderful characters. I also liked the nostalgic feel as it was the closest to the first Quest for Glory than all the others. But my absolute favorite thing about this particular game was that the villain had redeeming qualities...
