Fan-made game released: Broken Sword 2.5
Have been checking this group's progress now and then for a few years. Like the QFG2 remake, it is a non-profit fan made project and also one of my favourite PC-game series. The game is quite huge, 697 MB, but with a fast internet connection, it shouldn't take more than a half hour to download it: h...

80 USD for laminating? You could get a whatsitcalled, a frame workshop, to put it under frame and glass for that price, I thinkGronagor wrote:Most places will ask you about R80.00 to laminate A1

Re: Ok what is up with the Al Emmo and QFG2 poster shipments?
OK, that's the reason why the game haven't appeared in my mailbox yet! Status for order is still "processing" when I checked today, but I can wait. I will give it away as a Christmas gift anyway, so there's still three months to go. Can't take that long to send something from the US to Eur...

Re: What was QfG5 like, anyway?
Just for fun...checked what you have to pay to get the Dragon fire now...It seems to have become a really expensive collectors item now!
I bought mine back i 2005, new box still wrapped in plastic, for 8 euros, now it costs at least 4 times as much when I check ebay or amazon...

Re: What was QfG5 like, anyway?
I played Dragon Fire just a few years ago because I wasn't aware of the release back in 1998. It isn't a bad game, and in my opinion - not the worst game in the series. And not the worst attempt to make a 2D game into 3D - the worst ones being Kings Quest 8 or Simon 3D. It feels more than a 2.5D gam...

Re: What chance is there for a new Quest for Glory Anthology?
Well, if they're not planning to do anything more for the qfg-series than to make a crappy anthology with no extras, then it's better they don't. In a just world they would sell the IP cheaply to someone with a love for the games and a desire to continue the stories. Like the people at AGDInteractiv...

After a Jackalman jumped away from my side, I kept pushing 5 and the hero kept kicking left, then right, then left again. It looked like he was doing some wacky dance. It was pretty funny. You can dance if you want to. You can leave your friends behind. Edit: Actually... apart from the pants & ...

Re: Which sites have you seen this game release announced?
I'm working on an article about fan-made games for a Norwegian web-site, and I will include the QFG2 remake of course, as well as AGDIs other remakes (KQ 1 & 2). There's so much going on these days, with Zak McKracken 2.5 and Space Quest 4.5 released not long ago, and Broken sword 2.5 very close...

Just ordered a copy of the collector's edition. I have already the game (standard edition), so that will be a nice Christmas gift for someone. But I think I'll keep the poster for myself ;) Hope a lot of people order the game: It is a nice way to show apreciation for all the work the AGDI-team put i...

]I know this one! On the inventory menu, there's a "drop items" icon, and also, a "retrieve items" icon! Just remember to retrieve your items before they disappear. ;) OK, maybe this icon also works for retrieving daggers? Regarding the silver strategy: There are limits to how m...

Re: Concerning QfG1VGA imports
Yeah. Fortunately the VGA version can easily be manipulated into avoiding gold. You can drop all but one of your silvers, then spend all your gold, retrieve your silvers, and then NEVER use the mushroom glich. Nothing but silvers. I never found a way to drop inventory items AND be able to retrieve ...

So, yes, poster numbers are dwindling and there aren't a whole lot remaining. But because you've asked, we can reserve one for you. Hm...I'd better start shopping x-mas gifts now, I think. Just to make sure I get the poster: As long as the Himalaya web-page shows the special poster promotion, I wil...

Thank you AGD! The game is impressive! You made a remake which is miles ahead in quality compared to the remake Sierra made of QFG1! Yes, it's completely impossible to do any law-breaking without getting disqualified. You can still become a paladin as a thief and get 500 points, though. It just isn't much fun. :) http://www.agdinteractive.com/forum/images/avatars/moodpics/Nashnorm.jpg Yep, playing a thief character that chooses ...

Don't know if this qualifies as an Easter egg, but there is a Katta salesman in the northern part of town named Neko, which means "cat" in Japanese. And of course he sells some asian stuff, asian martial arts related stuff if I remember correctly. You can't buy anything from him though.

"Al Emmo" showed that the team can develop their own original worlds for adventuring. Rather than making more fan-games (next one maybe out in 2016?), I would prefer them to make commercial games in that good old adventuring spirit. There should be a market for that, I hope! "Al Emmo&...

Re: Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine has been released!
Al Emmo was one of the best and funniest adventure-releases in 2006. It brought back that same enjoyment as I experienced when playing the classics from those golden years of adventure.gaming. I really hope for a follow-up game in the same wacky universe. Did you ever consider making that? I sure ho...
