Re: Batman - The Dark Knight
Not a bad movie, this. It was leaps and bounds better than the tedious Batman Begins or the dreadful Batman Forever and Batman and Robin films, but it was over-long and not as fun or as beautiful to look at as Tim Burton's films.

Re: So you want to release a different game
Bards are far too twee and sickly sweet. All that prancing around in tights and singing? Just... No. If Kings Quest had character classes, one of them would definitely be a bard.Solarkid wrote:Still, i wish they'd put in a bard class, bards kick ass in qfg 3.

Re: What was QfG5 like, anyway?
I loved the overhead map in QfG3 (it's my favourite wilderness system in the series) but I felt very uninspired by the one in QfG5. It's all in the implementation, I guess.Maxor127 wrote:Yeah, I"m not a fan of the overhead maps in those games either.

Re: Please make easy combat patch !!!
Love the remake, but after playing it a while I've come to the conclusion that I'm not too keen on the combat. The enhancements might look good on paper, but I think that they unbalance the game. For me, the combat in QfG games was a necessary evil (except for the fully automated combat system in Qf...

Re: Ghostbusters game (is it true?)
As far as I know, the game is floating around in "not quite cancelled" mode. It hasn't exactly been cancelled, but it is without a publisher (and thereby, I assume, without a continued source of funding either). I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone picked up the game and published it ...

Re: So you want to release a different game
I've heard that they implemented Bard, Jester, and Monk classes, along with a third city in the desert, but Sierra/Vivendi wouldn't allow them to release this enhanced version due to copywrite infingements. I'm sure that everyone involved will deny it, though, because they were all forced to sign st...

You've just ruined the ending of two of the finest adventure games ever made for people who have yet to play or complete them. Way to go!

Re: game art: Cornelius Glory
A small update - an environment/lighting/mood test. I'm trying to get the right "feel" for Cornelius's drawing room here, which will eventually resemble a cross between a Victorian drawing room with steampunk trimmings and the TARDIS from Doctor Who. I've not had much time to work on it. h...

Re: Is This it For AGD Interactive?
I think that the glorious QfG 2 remake is a fitting end for AGD Interactive. It's better to go out on a high, after all. Himalaya Studios must surely be the future now, so here's looking forward to many fantastic original games to come!

game art: Cornelius Glory
Here's a character whom I'm working on: http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/cc355/Justluke_2008/glory.jpg His name is Cornelius Glory and he is a citizen of an alternate-world late Victorian London. It's the sort of foggy, gas-lit place where people such as Doctor Jekyl, Jack the Ripper, Sherlock Hol...

Re: Quest for Glory V de-make?
Im not talking about replicateing the entire game in 2D, I mean changeing whats wrong with it while keeping the gener direction(kingdom,Story, etc) it would be odd to remake the game from the ground up, rendered differently, and not fix some issues. But what if the setting (I think that this is what...

Re: QFG2 discussion thread
Looks great. I'm pleased that the enhancements are based upon QfG3. The third game has always been my favourite, followed by the original QfG2. The point allocation screen and interface are lovely. Now the already slight gap between the two has narrowed even further. The visuals have been tastefully...

Re: Happy Birthday Britney (AGD1)
My inner nerd compels me to correct that to: "Who is Numbe One?" "You are, Number Six." "I am not a number, I am a free man!" Number Six was actually Number One all the time. Great series. Of course, going by this logic, AGD 6 must then also be AGD 1. Well Yes and no, ...

Re: Ok I hate asking but seriously what time...
The thing is, if you used P2P software such as Bittorrent to download the game, you would have been helping to distribute it to others while you were still downloading it yourself. So, even if you deleted the game immediately after you downloaded it, the damage was already done.

My god, that post gives me horrible flashbacks to my time in the game industry. I once worked a twenty four hours shift, went home for eight hours, and then returned to put in another twenty four hour shift. Not good times.

... Apparently words cause overreactions! ... Not with me they didn't. You do seem to be somewhat blunt, but your opinions are reasonable. And I'll take "blunt" over "sycophantic" every time. Besides, I am untterly unable to take personal offence at anything written on internet ...
