Despite the articulate analysis, the answer is still clear. By a long way.

Re: What was the most difficult Sierra game ever?
Yeah, I could never seem to gather enough evidence at each crime scene. And it took me FOREVER to figure out windage/elevation at the range... I kept thinking I was just aiming wrong and trying to compensate until later in the game Bains would just blow me away at the park... (my memory is a bit fuz...

Re: What was the most difficult Sierra game ever?
I found police quest 2 to be quite hard. And Gabriel Knight 3 was damn near impossible for me and stupid to boot.

Slight inconsistency
Playing through this game again in anticipation of the QFG2 release and noticed a slight inconsistency.

Walk-through? What is that? Real heroes need only brains and steel.

Re: Question about Ad Avis
Actually anyone who's seen a forest fire knows that fire and air can be an incredibly devistating combination. But I don't really think the goal was to destroy Shapier.
Oh, and he's a hero. He would have found a way. That's what heros do. The only thing that can stop a hero is 52.

Re: Question about Ad Avis
Nothing attracts heros like a city being ravaged by elementals. And maybe the elementals are like Pringles, you can't release just one. Could be that whatever power Ad Avis unleashed on Shapier was an all or nothing attack of the elements...

Re: My one real problem with Dragon Fire... The Ending.
I couldn't agree more. I really love the game. The writing (up to the end) is pretty witty and etertaining and in keeping with the spirit of the series. The puzzles are logical and fun and the gameplay with the new engine works fairly well (unless you run into bugs of course). But the ending just se...

Re: Hype shrouded in mystery
I don't see how they would get admiration just by publishing a date and sticking to it. It doesn't seem like it matters much to me. So, I disagree; they have more to lose than to gain. By that logic, I don't see how they would gain enmity by publishing a date and not sticking to it, considering it'...

Re: Hype shrouded in mystery
I don't see much motivation for them to give a date. Because they are doing it for free, they don't have anyone they need to answer to. No shareholders, financial plans or customers to take into consideration. If they give a date, there is not much benefit for them, but there is the risk of not mak...

Don't you dare release the game tommorrow Actually, I agree with that statement, and not for reverse psychology either. I'm in the process of moving, and it'd suck, after all these years to have the game released during the few days I'll be without internet access. LOL, why would that suck? Because...

Actually, that was the one bit that I found out with this thread that I found most interesting. They have not decided if a release date will be give at all. I also want to point out that it's not really fair to compare this project to 'the industry'. Not to take anything away from AGDI's professiona...

Re: Hype shrouded in mystery
Meh. It doesn't matter to me. There are hardcore fanboys in any forum that freak out and over react when anything disturbs their perfect sycophantic world. It's funny that I'm accused of being a broken record... when those type of statement far outnumber and outpage my questions (which was pretty mu...

I'm not 'affronted' that you would ask the question. However, I am seriously perturbed that you would utilize your extensive vocabulary to belittle others. Myself most especially. Also, you have been given an answer, but you have not seen fit to except it, even when it has been repeated several tim...

You're a twit. You're trying to appear calm and rational, but your passive agressive behavior is stirring people up. AoiMasamune understands things perfectly, and summed things up perfectly. Stop being a passive-agressive twit and acting like you're taking the high road. You're not, and if you cont...

Re: Hype shrouded in mystery
That, we haven't decided yet. As I mentioned, it all depends on how smoothly things are running and whether we're 100% sure that we can meet said release date -- lest we face the wrath of the general public. Argggg... That is frustrating. I understand that you are not giving a release date at this ...

Dude, it's not rocket surgery. The game will be out soon. First it's very complex and now it's very simple. Hmmm... I suppose the hostility comes from people asking obviously stupid questions. There's LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of behind the scenes work to ensure that it goes smoothly and that EVERYONE can get it. Remember, there's going to be literally thousands of people all g...
