Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.
Holy blue frogs... has anyone beaten this thing with a thief? I do such negligible damage and take so much from each pizza, I'm not seeing how I'll ever kill the thing. Maybe this outright requires a second playthrough as a fighter. Oi. Pity it's impossible to stealth hit the thing. Love the dialogu...

Re: Amazing bug with fighting Uhura in guild hall!
This happened with me, too! For a few beautiful moments, my thief carried a sword and shield. Moreover, he danced with them right out of the room, and for several steps around the plaza before reverting to normal. It seems to be a pretty inconsequential bug. I found it more enjoyable than bothersome.

Re: The "Thanks" thread!
I posted one thank-you and congrats in the general forum in response to the long-awaited release date announcement, and now that I've finished the game, let me say thank you and congratulations again. Well done. Superb. True to the original with just enough twists to make it thoroughly worthwhile. I...

Re: ::Spoiler:: How to Sneak Attack? Help
Notice that sneak attacks, at least against brigands, decrease your honor! I haven't noticed the effect against scorpions or ghouls, who aren't honorable opponents to begin with, but stabbing people in the back who are not currently a threat sounds dishonorable both to me and evidently to AGDI. I do...

Re: Monsters running away?
Heck yeah! I actually just quit gameplay and returned to the forums to report that very discovery. Unless your speed is on low, hitting these monsters on the first throw can be tough. With a calm spell, however, it's no problem. You have to be very quick on the draw, even to do it with Calm. Totally...

Re: Monsters running away?
I can get the monster's attention by standing up straight or by throwing a dagger or a rock at it. By the time the no-action djinn pointer becomes my action icon on entering any given desert screen, the monster is no longer near me, so melee has been consistently out of the question. Following the m...

Re: Original v. Simplified Map
Ever wandered around a Middle Eastern city of medieval construction? It's like that. I always liked the feel of the alleys, and I like it even more now that AGDI did the concept justice. You really only need to follow halfway complicated directions once at the very start of the game, when Alichica d...

Re: Good places to practice various skills...
Putting our heads together, we've found a good way to practice pretty much everything in the remake. Stealth still feels slow to me generally, and it rises much quicker in a thieving situation where it's required. Are there any quick-rise stealth situations that don't nix a hero's chance to become a...

Good places to practice various skills...
My idea here is to edit this first post as people chime in. Many ideal means to practice skills carry over from the original, but some don't. For example, in the original, I could wander around on stealth mode for a day or two and expect a 200 fairly shortly. In the remake, I wear my stamina out rap...

Re: combat system is better than any other QFG
I emphatically agree. Before, I had liked QfG2 the best, and now its remake takes the palm. I'm even playing with a thief, who evidently gets the short side of the stick for combat, and I'm finding the system more interesting than any previous QfG. The system's challenging, and the combination of sk...

Re: Entering the WIT
Two differences on entering WIT versus the original: In the original, I could cast open on the blank wall without casting detect magic. This made sense for people who had to enter multiple times by virtue of failing one of the tests, I guess. In the original, I always responded, "I seek to be a...

Re: ** Quest for Glory II OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED **
Congratulations, team! I've kept an eye on AGDInteractive since Tierra first announced Royal Quest. KQ1VGA and KQ2VGA+ flat-out amazed me, and in retrospect, it's stunning you finished both of those so quickly. QfG2VGA kept us all in suspense for years, and I'm one of those who never lost faith (and...
