Re: Help tracking down a few things
Secondly, I recall an old QfG fansite from years ago that had large-size versions of the various QfG5 spell icons (including my own avatar). Does anybody else recall that site? I've been looking for it with no luck for some time. Any help would be appreciated. http://bibbi.4t.com/spells.html Is tha...

The unicorn book in the library and the conversation with the librarian was priceless.

TVTropes... funny... I've discovered this website some weeks ago. It's one of my top favorites.<snerk> You've been staring at the altered panel mjmclean posted at Metroid Metal too long. Please direct Kevin Keene to the Video Games section of I Am Not Shazam at TVTropes.

Looks OK.
Good: SOE and Obsidian are not involved in any way.
Bad: EA and Lucasarts can still find a way to screw this up.

Re: Game & Movie Sequels That Just Never Should Have Been Made
Oh, and another one to add to the list... Although it's not a film sequel, but rather a game to film cross-over. Most of those are notoriously bad anyway. But I think the Doom movie should be in this catergory. For the amount of time this movie was in 'development hell' it raised such high expectat...

Re: Batman - The Dark Knight
Seen it and loved it! Once again The Joker stole the show! Way better than the '60 TV series and the '90 four movies combined. I think Two-Face needed his own movie rather the ending we got. What villain do you guys think should be in 3rd Batman? You're kidding, don't you? This movie was all about ...

Who is your favorite wizard? I will have to go with Erasmus. Being eccentric and humorous was just too good.

Re: Batman - The Dark Knight
ya, 1 villian is ideal.. it seems like they try to pack in as much as they can though. i wish they filmed 2 movies at once last time.. they should do that more often. You're right. The last Spider-man got cramped with 3 antagonists. What's the rush anyway? I just heard they're gonna make more Spide...

Re: Does anyone have the classics?
I still got the original copy, bought in bargain bin some 10 years ago. Not much of a collector's item. The box is opened and I ripped the map in two
I didn't made play with this copy for too long, since not long after I got the first Anthology.

I usually prefer 1 villain. Catwoman sounds right. A female opponent would be a nice change.Chief wrote:i think the riddler or catwoman would be cool and perhaps one other minor one?

Re: What was QfG5 like, anyway?
I think an overhead map was the only way to portray the vastness of East Fricana and the size of Marete. It wouldn't feel right if you could leave Tarna, walk like 10 game-screens to the right and find yourself in the Simbani village. So for QFG3 and QFG5, I really think an overhead map was the rig...

Re: QFG3 - Spells not Raising?
You can actually practice Open in your room at the inn or your hut at the Simabni village. However, your honor will decrease everytime. Not really worth the trouble, since it can be raised pretty easily in QFG4.

Re: The Trouble with Throwing Daggers
You need to search 3 places: * The corpse * The ground of the battle field * The ground of the original screen (walk up from the battle field to leave it). D'OH! I must have wasted a fortune on tons of new daggers! :rollin I thought clicking on the ground of the battlefield will give me rocks. Issu...

Re: What was QfG5 like, anyway?
My complaint was the overhead map. Like QFG3, you have huge territory outside of town, but very little to visit. And the places you do visit, you only did once. The fixed 3D camera was just painful. Sometimes, my mouse pointer was bigger than the hero. Some things announced in a preview didn't made ...

Be stubborn and don't but the saurus repeatedly. Destroying the bellows with spells. Let the elementals destroy the city. Getting caught doing robberies (several ways). Refuse Ferrrari's drink.

Omar in the fountain plaza
On which days and at what time Omar is suppose to show up at the Fountain Plaza? If I recall correctly, he show up two times in the game, right? Speaking of Omar, nice touch having Shema sit by Shameen at the inn during Omar's lecture. I also notice for the Shema's tail being longer than the EGA ver...

Re: Thought Erasmus' Maze was hard? Try Keapon Laffin's game
Just avoid relying on the "hold position"-option too often. If you use it more often than like, every 7 steps, you'll fall. Learn how to correct tilting by leaning the opposite way. I personally prefer using the keyboard to ropewalk. There's a tougher ropewalk near the end of the game, ya...
