Re: communication and bargaining
I guess I should've thought of that. Leaving and reentering the screen made it work.

Re: communication and bargaining
Yes, it's the remake. What I did was I bartered with a merchant with 100 communication and reloaded and tried again with 200 communication, and I end up with the same lowest price.

communication and bargaining
I used blue frog cheat to get 200 communication, but my characters seems to get the exact same deals when bargaining. I thought high communication meant lower prices? Or are there bugs with raising skills cheats?

Oracle glitch
I just remembered seeing this graphic glitch when I played earlier today. I'm using 3x AA Windowed. During the Oracle scene, I can see a thin white square outline around her mouth during the whole scene as if the animated mouth wasn't blended in correctly.

Re: looking for mandrake *spoilers*
I figured out the root. I knew where it had to be. Then it was just a matter of figuring out how to get an eagle feather, which wasn't that hard once I had the right item and realized he was never going to fly around like the original game. Getting into the bandit hideout on the other hand... that h...

Re: Future Remake: Part Deux
Camelot, Laura Bow, or Mask of Eternity would be good. I purposely didn't vote for KQ4 even though it's the logical choice. Camelot would be my #1 choice. And Mask of Eternity #2. I vote Laura Bow just because I'd like to see more Sierra mystery games.

Anywhere I can still view the old cat page? I kind of liked it and probably should've saved an offline version.

Re: Original KQ3 Worst/Best Parts (SPOILERS)
The pirate ship and spells were probably my favorite parts. The pirate ship created the illusion that you're in an actual world and on a long journey, which made it all the more exciting when you hear "land ho." And I liked how I could just fly off the ship and try to make it to the shore ...

Re: MSPaint Your Favourite Adventures!
Grim Fandango is a good game. Kind of slow at the start and I didn't like the controls, but I think all 3D LucasArts titles are like that. But the story and characters and writing and graphics and pretty much everything are great. It was just the game and puzzle elements that can get frustrating. I ...

Those are pretty good for MS Paint. Personally, I can't stand using it. I haven't used any old school Paint programs since Color It for Mac though.

Re: Anyone played the new Metal Gear Solid or Fallout 3?
I have a feeling GTA4 will snag game of the year. I haven't played MGS4 yet since I don't have a PS3. I'm planning on getting Fallout 3 eventually for PC. I've been busy with other games so far.

Re: Is This it For AGD Interactive?
Personally, I'd like to see Conquests of Camelot remade. It's one of my favorite games. I always liked the detail that went into it, like flies collecting on bodies and the wide variety of locations you can visit. That was a good era for Sierra games. Improved graphics from the AGI games and an impr...

Re: Star Wars MMO !!!!
I'm mad they're wasting their time with an MMO. I want a KOTOR 3, not a fake KOTOR MMO. I wouldn't care if a KOTOR 3 was planned, but it seems like they're using an MMO as a replacement for more sequels.

Yeah, Bill Heineman... I forgot about him. He made Bard's Tale III among other games. Bard's Tale III was a great game. I never knew he had a sex change until I caught that link from Dani Bunten's profile. I found out about Dani by accident too a few years back when I was trying to find new versions...

Re: Game & Movie Sequels That Just Never Should Have Been Made
About Monkey Island 4, I liked it. I agree, I didn't like the interface and controls but it was still a good game, except for maybe the annoying Monkey Kombat section but that section was also kind of good in that it made you break out a piece of paper and use your brain instead of making things too...

Am I the only one who actually liked the graphics? I thought they were a nice compromise between 3D and pixels by using voxels instead. I thought the graphics looked good for 1998.

Re: Batman - The Dark Knight
It might be the best superhero movie ever, but it does have its flaws. Some of the story elements just didn't work for me, and the last scene with Two-Face seemed like it could've been handled better. It's awesome if you suspend some disbelief, but you notice some chinks if you analyze it too much.

Re: What was QfG5 like, anyway?
I think graphics look good for the time and still look halfway decent today. The game actually used voxels instead of real 3D. Compared to King's Quest 8, which was released around the same time, the game looks stunning. If the combat was better, I probably would've even considered it one of my favo...
