Re: Please make easy combat patch !!!
The best thing to do is just buy stamina pills and train a lot of times at Uhura's, your character quickly "evolves" into combat preparedness levels. I don't think many people will turn difficulty down though as it's degrading and also worrisome (don't know if you'll be denied anything goo...

Re: combat system is better than any other QFG
Combat is fairly cool. I think the game could use a few messages though... if you die early on fighting a tip to go train at Uhura's. If you're a thief in the desert at night, a tip to sneak around and use your dagger would be good as well. So, so easy to overlook your options in this game.

They're not that rewarding anyway though, but it's fun to fight them and kick them when you're stronger.

Re: What If : what if we could mod this game
there's always a way, such as someone making tools. people even hex edit games that don't have any. it would depend on some bored coder leading the way

Re: Uneventful days
it's how the game works pretty much. keep in mind you can train any of your skills on off days. but think about the original having to allow time for puzzles and such when there was no walkthroughs anywhere.

Re: What If : what if we could mod this game
Yeah it could be great. And then people could add anything, voice pack, areas, monsters. I think it would be cool. I'd rather make mods for something with so much character like QFG than the other stuff out that's very generic like Oblivion.

Also, Rasier's street names All men are equal. An order from a guard is a rule. Everything not mandatory is forbidden. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Re: Theif Combat
cool it works I took a scorpion down to practically no life with one throw. I noticed what seems to be a bug though, or maybe just not possible to keep moving when you want to throw, but sneaking keyboard controls stop working when you have the dagger as the icon.

Re: Skill raising (luck especially)
Hmm I have 200 as a thief at the end of the game. So either combat/dodging training which I maxed, or thief skills such as stealth/lockpick/throwing raised it fine.

Re: Theif Combat
Does it actually kill them? I just tried it with 180 stealth and 150ish throwing. I snuck around for a long time and it was very slow to actually get an encounter, because either it's impossible going north/south due to the monster getting away while you walk/"load", or you can get maybe o...

Re: Theif Combat
It's stealth. Use your stealth, not your brawn. Trust me, thieves aren't nearly as weak as you're suggesting they are. You're merely not using the right approach. If you're a thief, think like a thief...not like a fighter without a sword. http://www.agdinteractive.com/forum/images/avatars/moodpics/...

Re: Thief ropewalking is impossible
Just up agility (stealth too I think?) until you can tap forward the hell out of it and get through without balancing. I couldnt do the balance as it's too ambiguous on my eyes as to which way the leaning is.

Re: Theif Combat
unfortunately due to the original design the thief is not very good at combat. you can chuck many daggers (press q) and pick them up after (search the bodies and ground) but in terms of opponents the majority are too hard. if you train up at uhura's eventually do a couple jackalmen (actually 4 is us...

Re: Games like quest for glory?
vampire: bloodlines is the closest game imo. lot of chatting, stealing, lock picking, magic, interacting and stuff, and also playing your class 'rules' is similar to how it felt in QFG playing your class. of course it's set in a world of vampire secret wars and horror though, so it may be to your ta...

What If : what if we could mod this game
I'm sorry to the devs if this is a crazy request, but I just have to ask playing the game as a thief. I was thinking, DAMN, it would be amazing to add more content like 20 thief missions :) Now the devs shouldn't be put into slavery doing stuff like that, but what if you let the community try their ...
