Re: The drink given to you by Signor Ferrari
That's neat, though I wonder if there was originally planned some more gameplay for this part?

QfG I; undiscovered easter egg in guild hall?
Sorry if too much off topic, mods please remove if inappropriate. Well, here goes: Browsing through some archives of graphics ripped from QFGI ega, I stumbled upon these pictures of the saurus plaque in the guild hall and some OTHER saurus plaque, the other one looking very much like the former, onl...

Re: The drink given to you by Signor Ferrari
Hmmm, what if the hero's communications skills, or intelligence, is quite low? Would that make any difference perhaps?

The drink given to you by Signor Ferrari
Sorry if this has been asked before, just curious: When accepting the drink from Ferrari, I remember the narrative telling me that the drink has a strange, chemical taste. But I evade his questions and nothing seems to happen.

If you press back too early, you'll jump back. If you press back at the right moment, you'll duck. As for the rest of the questions, just follow your own advice. :) Hey, thanks, Erpy. This online-support is great. I have NEVER experienced customer service like this before. And I didn't even pay any...

Re: Fighting tips on the 5th elemental *spoilers*
No. The only way to regain stamina is to stay out of melee range and avoid being "crushted". Well, nothing for it but to let the fight take its time, I see :\ Try to get the timing down to duck his attacks. Then, either do a rising slash, a stab or both if you're feeling bold. The rising ...

Fighting tips on the 5th elemental *spoilers*
I've been fighting that damn pizza elemental for ages now, and I still can't beat him. Last time I was close, but alas, too weary to continue. I watched the fight on youtube for a few hints, but still can't seem to get it right. 1. I keep running out of stamina. I try to avoid this by going out of h...

The herring is on the docks outside the kitchen. You have to step on the loose board until the bird flies away to get it.

Re: Erana in the final battle of game 5
Since we seem to discuss other QFG games here, I figured I'd post. Just finished Dragon Fire not long ago and I'm kinda wondering. Just what exactly was Erana doing during the final fight? I mean sure, if I ask her, she'll heal someone, but if I leave her to her own devices? She just seems to hover...

Re: Other Easter Eggs
Ouch, don't get me started on that, I was a victim too of that infamous joke, you know, searching every grate in every alley! And then, when I finally found the real thing, I was beaten time after time by the PE. I still think it's not funny. Well, maybe just a little bit funny... ;) More easter eg...

Re: Paladin Magic Points
Actually, giving the key to Dinarzad doesn't permanently keep your honor at an all-time low. It's just harder to recover from. You could try being a fighter in QFG3 and get promoted to paladin near the end...that'll at least make sure you won't gain healing hands in QFG3. It might not be able to pr...

Re: Paladin Magic Points
That's very tough since it's the second paladin ability you gain and it doesn't take a lot of honorable actions to get to that point. (in fact, some of the mandatory plot events may already give you the boosts you'd need) You could try by acting like a scoundrel at every opportunity in an attempt t...

Re: Paladin Magic Points
Not exactly a QG2 question, hope it's ok: Is there any way to avoid gaining the magic ability when importing as a paladin? Yes and no. Importing a Paladin into any QfG will not immediately give you Magic. However, gaining Healing Hands in QfG3 or QfG4 does require use of the Magic submenu; thus Pal...

I can't find any use for it?
Sure, I can fill it with sand. Doesn't work against the ol' windbag, though.
Tried using water on it, to make the sand into mud. Nope.
Can't put it in my room.
Nothing?

Re: Some thoughts on the combat system (SPOILERS)
Those are the only two rope sequences in the game. Well, that's a relief, since I've deleted my thief savegames... And by the way, I couldn't resist seeing what all the fuzz was about with the apparent easter egg at Aziza's. Oh my, why didn't I think of that myself? I've always wanted to do that (w...

Re: Some thoughts on the combat system (SPOILERS)
Oh, sorry. I thought having 0 SP against ghouls killed you in the EGA version - I believe I read it somewhere a long time ago, so I could very well be mistaken. I've finished a quick playthrough as a Thief - combat is definetely harder, IMHO. Very enjoyable, though. And I love the rope minigames (I...

Re: Plot question

Re: Crowning moment of awesome?
The endgame ropewalking as a thief. That always was a bit too "easy", just going over there on the rope (you've even made that harder, you scallywags!), and though well-timed, it needed a little drama. It certainly has that now! I totally did NOT expect anything like that to happen. It was...
