Re: Stealing a lamp from the Blue Parrot Inn!

My biggest problem with missing things is that I'm a perfectionist and I like to get 500 out of 500 points - which also means, effectively, I don't often find the alternative puzzle solutions and failsafes. The only reason I found this out is because it's a fail safe that you can get even if you hav...

Out of curiosity, what did you have the difficulty set to?

Stealing a lamp from the Blue Parrot Inn!

I just discovered you could do this while playing as a thief. While clicking hands on lamps (waiting for a bit of time to pass), it gave me messages about choosing a less conspicuous corner. Then I clicked on one in the corner and it said to get closer. So I went into stealth mode, walked over, and ...

This might be bit of a silly question but is/was your Hero hungry? Thirsty? Both?

Re: Zayishah naked

It wasn't a rumor - it actually used to be that seeing naked Zayishah would disqualify you from Paladinhood, an addition by AGDI. It was patched out in the next version when people complained that "If you don't know that the glasses will do that, you get disqualified for something you didn't kn...

Re: Two problems/glitches with bellows as a thief

You can right-click to change your cursor, so you don't *need* to use the top bar to do that.

Unless you don't have a right mouse button for some reason, that's pretty much the method you're going to have to use, I think.

Re: The drink given to you by Signor Ferrari

I know it's a month late, but...

Basically, it's just to signify that he tried to drug you so that you would be more pliable... but your hero's made of too stern stuff for the dosage to have affected you.

Kudos on a little detail I just noticed!

I don't remember anyone talking about this, but... When playing as a Thief, if you're down to only one dagger in a battle, and if you win, the thief will do his victory pose... but with one dagger instead of two! At least that's what it looked like to me. (I also have the Silver Dagger on me so go f...

Re: Please Help - Air Elemental Bug?

Uh, no... you don't need to force your way into the center of the Air Elemental as a wizard. You have to levitate and wait until the Air Elemental passes under you (in a reasonable approximation) and then drop the dirt into the elemental. No throwing skill necessary. If I recall correctly, sand does...

Re: Challenge at arm wrestling

Doesn´t work for me, not even with a new character, everybody ignores what I type in the parser. I cannot talk to Aziza, she always says "I believe I asked you a question" and throws me out after 2-3 communication attempts ("tea", "please", "yes"), and it is ...

Re: QFG Hex edit

DrJones , actually the rakeesh scene wasn't really in the player's control , I think . Maybe you missed out some honourable deed. Zachski , but that just is a bad thing to do . its not like the paladin is the only character with honour . we just should have been given an option like in QFG2. In the...

Re: Aziza's Game

You need to be a bonafide wizard, not a fighter or a thief who was adept enough to pass the wizard test.

In other words, your character screen needs to say "wizard" up top, not fighter or thief :-)

I've heard that if you refuse the oath before travelling to the Simbani village, it automatically disqualifies you from becoming a Paladin, but I'm not sure.

Re: communication and bargaining

You're playing the remake, right, and not the original? In the original, bargaining acted more or less as a difficulty check - some characters wouldn't bargain without a high enough communications skill (though some could be influenced to be lower if you were a magic user) In the remake, communicati...

Yeah, you're right.

I think it's blue in this game because the hero's vest is blue.

Re: barely managed to finish, awesome game!

First of all, Sierra created this game first, AGDI "merely" remade it. So, your appreciation should be directed at Sierra :D Second of all, sure, if you want to, you can create a background story for your character. That's what the guide makers did with Devon Aidendale, the unofficial name...

Re: QFG2 bug - vanishing Hero

I didn't think to save JUST before the battle (actually, I did, but I overwrote it because I ran out of savegame space), but I went back there after re-wishing for Strength and Vitality and now everything's dandy.

So it was just odd glitch of the day.

Re: Tips for keeping my honor low as a fighter?

Well, you only need, what, a 100 honor to become a Paladin in QFG3? Even with being an absolute jerk, my Fighter was still dancing around 60, and probably would've been 80 by the time I beat the game which is too close for comfort.

QFG2 bug - vanishing Hero

I don't know if it's on my side or what, but... I was playing as my honorless Fighter, and I got to the Djinni. Now, I escaped on my own, rather than help the Katta out, so as to get even less honor. After wishing for Strength and Vitality, I teleported to Raseir to finish up. Now, here's the weird ...

Tips for keeping my honor low as a fighter?

Basically, my Fighter is going to be doing dishonorable things in order to avoid becoming a Paladin in QFG3, in a way that best avoids the use of the Ignore-Harami exploit. So, in order to do that, I need to keep my honor low in QFG2 as well. Now, if this were my Thief, I could just sell the key and...
