Re: Telltale to Reboot King's Quest

While Full Throttle is a good Lucasarts title, I think King's Quest is more recognized and well known. I can see why they'd go after it.

Re: Telltale to Reboot King's Quest

Hmm... While I was excited about Sam and Max, and the Homestar Runner games, in the long run they were more about the jokes than the gameplay. With each new episode I was a bit more disappointed. The puzzles were, as you say, way too straight forward, and from that quote it seems this is intentional...

Re: Al Emmo & the Lost Dutchman's Mine v3.0 Released ($9.99)

I just bought the game and I have to say so far it's pretty funny. I haven't had a chance to play through it much just yet, but I'm very glad to support you guys in a small way after all those free games you've released.

Re: Racing car in KQ2?!

Dag yo! I gotta say that's pretty interesting, and funny. It beats those badly made "promotional videos" in the KQ collections :D (though I still watch those just for laughs now and again, I love how the amazing CD makes computer graphics light years ahead of consoles :rollin ). I should h...

Re: Racing car in KQ2?!

Now that I wasn't aware of! Huh, that is surprising considering how many parodies they just ignored in so many other games at the time. Was that on the box for the game by any chance, or some magazine ad showing the parody? I'd understand that odd focus better if that was the case and they stumbled ...

Ah I see! So my friends don't need to worry about downloading it again. That's good.

Re: Original KQ3 Worst/Best Parts (SPOILERS)

I never knew I could get on the pirate ship while the wizard's still "human". So what, does he sink the whole ship, terrifying the pirates in a maelstrom of horror? Or, does he just kill you privately when none of the pirates are looking, which would disappoint me a bit because I love evil...

Re: A few Questions about this remake ?

I too thought you'd mention American Tale, since that song's actually supposed to be between, ya know, siblings and not high school lovers (ick). Now I've got Somewhere Out There stuck in my head... How much or little are you going to reference the unique story elements of KQ2+ in this game? Is The ...

Re: Racing car in KQ2?!

Kids these days... You don't recognize the 80's Batman movie batmobile? Go soak your head! Actually you may not recognize the term "batmobile", since the newer movies intentionally avoid that term. You probably would call it a "retro tumbler". You may be wondering something like ...

Re: Patch Update for King's Quest 1 (v4.1 to v4.1b)

I recently downloaded the game in full from your web site again (reinstalling games in my new Windows 7 installation) and noticed that the in-game version is 4.1c. I assume this is the latest version and that this patch is now unnecessary? Do you recall what sort of changes there are between 4.1b an...

Re: Patch Update for King's Quest II (v3.1 to v3.1b)

I noticed when I recently downloaded the full game from the site (a few days ago, I was reinstalling games on my new Windows 7 installation) that the in-game version appears to be 3.1c. I assume this is in fact the latest version and this patch is no longer necessary right? Also, could you list what...

Possible bugs I found, and thanks

Firstly, I'd just like to say thank you for making these KQ remakes. They're extremely well done. KQ2 in particular is a great reimagining of the original game. While I disagree with a few of the more extreme changes to a couple of the characters characters, I find the game absolutely outstanding to...
