Re: About AGDI Games

Fans themselves don't seem as willing to stick around as they used to be. People who consist of our fanbase grow older as time marches forward, and they move onto other things. The very nature of remakes limits the fanbase mainly to the people who grew up playing these Sierra games. Younger people,...

Re:  Random rants go here.

I thought the iPhone is a gadget that really isn't all that great, but nobody wants to admit it. :| You gotta hate it when you're out on the city for a beer, and there's always this group of people in every bar having fun only because of their iPhones. I call them the 'iPhone family', and they alone...

Re: Happy Birthday, AGD2!

Well they are, in a way, as you get older, the years become a lesser % of your life. When you are 6, a year is 1/6th of your life, when you are 30, it's 1/30th of your life. =S. Considerably less. " ... You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today And then one day you find ten...

Re: AGDI mentioned in GameTrailers!

Ahum

I don't think 700k is really a considerable investment by today's standards of information technology, it's about what companies spend per year for measuring their website.

Re: KQ2vga 3.0 introduction

To update, AGD2 fixed the problem for me, mainly caused by hardware limits in combination with the internal AGS video player, and it will most likely not occur anymore if the solution is implemented in a future update.

Re: KQ2vga 3.0 introduction

- I'm beginning to think it is really unique to my system, I will try messing around with the winsetup. Can I even try 85hz when I have only support for 60hz?? - The downscaling part sounds interesting, since it is the only difference between videos that run and don't run - I will try playback of th...

You forgot Badders, Chernovy Wizards, and Revenants. Not to mention the Pit Horror and Avoozl itself... Exsqueeze me, but I hardly forgot about them...the Pit Horror and Avoozl hardly roam the woods, since both are trapped inside the Dark One's cave. Ad Avis on the other hand, does, even though 'ro...

Well, I tried playing Theora files with VLC media player, and they run just fine.

I'm at a loss what I should try next, I think I've seen the introduction about a 100 times now in the last few days, lol.

Re: KQ2vga 3.0 introduction

Thanks for the reply. I have the latest version of DirectX 9.0c, my drivers are updated, and also tested all filters; they all do exactly the same thing. The only thing that makes me see slightly more of the video is when I use no filter and run in a window, but it still hangs horribly. I will try t...

KQ2vga 3.0 introduction

So. I've been trying to get KQ2vga 3.0 running correctly on my new Acer Aspire One 751. The odd thing is that the AGDI 3d movie works fine, but the magic mirror 3d sequence in the introduction hangs after a few seconds. The music keeps on playing, and after I hear the door of destiny open, the 3d se...

It depends on what was calculated into the budget. Investment in hardware, software and all the hours made by all the programmers was relatively spoken enormously expensive.

:rollin Ironically, you know you're "kind of a big deal" when someone takes the time out of their day to launch a mudslinging campaign against you. While this is very true, pretending it would be better that agdi never made the remakes at all is another extreme. I suspect the guy or girl ...

Re: Which KQ has the most EPIC cover art???

That's a beautiful cover, but the design with the bad guy in back looming over the hero in that way has been done so many times before... to me there's nothing distinctly "King's Quest" about the art. I agree, and the fighting sequence in the orb doesn't represent the games at all. If you...

I don't recognise your description of a hextool. I think I used to use this: http://www.physics.ohio-state.edu/~prewett/hexedit/ It's vital to understand hexadecimals. Here's an online calculator for decimals to hexadecimals if you're having trouble with it: http://netzreport.googlepages.com/online_...
