<!DOCTYPE

Something I learned a bit ago, when trying to make webpages work the same in all browsers, definately, hands down specify a doctype . The reason this works so well, is because if you don't have a DOCTYPE specified, IE renders the page in “quirks” mode, where it imposes it's own best guess of how a p...

You know... ... ..

Actually, I honestly can't remember which one it's from. I *think* it was SQ4, and I'd never even heard it in the game myself. I just happened to be trolling through the AUD file, and heard it. I just *knew* I had to record that for some later obscure QFG reference bragging. :D If I had to guess, I'...

Thought I'd contribute my part for the QFG2 voices.

Re: It's not as difficult as you think.

Quote:
I wouldn't want my kids to play this game if they could ask about the "whether" and get a response about the "weather". That just teaches them that bad spelling is okay (or that a certain word means something other tha...

It's not as difficult as you think.

Quote:
Where any parser interface will require them to either have a word selection list (along the lines of Lucas Arts) or do a complete rewrite to make sure grammar and syntax are correct for each language.

ONLY! Not typing for everything. You won't need to type something like "Look at Fuzzy Bunny," "Pick up Fuzzy Bunny," "Rub Fuzzy Bunny's Tummy whi...

A combination of the two styles.

I've said this before, and I will say it again.

Personally, I would much rather see a combination of the two in the communication interface. I've always felt the Leusire Suit Larry 7 interface is the best adventure game interface created to date, and here's how the communication basically pla...

Re: About climbing....

It would also be nice if you could climb the palm trees at the oasis. I'm not suggesting that you actually animate it, just say it.

Re: Urk

So does that mean you guys are going to release a seperate version for each different language?

Wouldn't it be easier to have all the different languages coded into the one game, and allow the user to select which language they want from within? Try Again?

Did you ever consider adding a Try Again option to the Reload/Restart/Quit death message options? I'm thinking something along the lines of LSL6.

I know this wasn't in the original games, but it could be argued to be as much a needed improvement as the graphics and mouse interface were.
<b...

Re: s'all I wanted to know.

So I guess that's a feature of AGS, multiple screen resoluions. Any chance you guys will make a 640*400 version of the game. Nevermind, that'd probably be too much work to convert all the graphics you have already made. Might be something to consider for future games. You can still have the old-skoo...

Resolutions...

Is there any difference between the 3 resolutions?

From the options, you can select 320*200, 640*400, or 960*600. Is there any *real* difference between these resolutions, other than stretching it 2 or 3 times it's normal size?
