Re: This game is way too difficult

You're right that DOTT doesn't make it easy to try out different items. Eh? To send an item, you click "Give", click the item, then click the picture of the person you want to send it to. Doesn't get much simpler than that. Say is simpler than action. Especially it has so many items, want...

Re: Awards Criteria ***[MEGA SPOILERS]***

I do remember I got Rise and Shine with Grudge together, but I also remember I didn't let M to go for 2nd journey and fed him the porridge. Something I must've remembered wrongly. Hell, I'll just verify later and update you guys. I think I must be mistaken. I can't locate the save game that I got R...

Re: Awards Criteria ***[MEGA SPOILERS]***

Well, that's what I can remember, but I could be wrong. Please verify that I think you are. Unless there's some other interaction I'm missing (or you just caught a lucky glitch), I can't get Grudge by making the cookie during Manny's first journey, waking him from his nap, and then giving him the t...

Re: This game is way too difficult

You're right that DOTT doesn't make it easy to try out different items. I was forced to think through which items I should send first. Actually, the puzzle that frustrated me the most was reading the book to the horse. I don't remember there being any clues to that. I just tried it, and it worked. ...

Re: Awards Criteria ***[MEGA SPOILERS]***

But you also had to wait for him to return from a second trip, didn't you? If you wake him up manually, he won't ask for food, after all. This is interesting. If the trigger for Grudge is actually making the cookie before Manny returns from his first trip and not using it at the first meal, Grudge ...

Re: Illegal Items and the logic behind it

And jumping to conclusions or not, Mannanan IS correct about your intentions for 90+ percent of players. Assumed Manannan knows every moves of yours, Well, if you argue cat hair or chicken feather, I can accept that... as I intensionly pick the cat/chicken up and pluck the hair, surely I must be up...

Illegal Items and the logic behind it

I know it is just a game, but what's the logic behind having some cat hair, chicken feather, or even a common house fly is "death sentence" to Manannan? If having any of these items are considered illegal, Gwydion won't be stayed alive until 18, and would've sentenced to dead long time ago...

Re: This game is way too difficult

Well... In their defense, Day of the Tentacle and Sam and Max ARE cartoons. In a sense. As far as my experiences with those games is concerned, I was never able to make it through Sam and Max on my own. I found it frustrating. Day of the Tentacle, however, I was able to figure out without help. It ...

Re: This game is way too difficult

Amazing that people think this game is too difficult. How did you manage 20 years ago, when all games were this difficult (or much worse!)? 1. Players nowadays don't play anything without 3D 2. Players spent too much time on WASD 3. Players don't play games required brain these days 4. Players don'...

Re: Funny moments discovered in KQ3R (Spoiler)

I know it's just a game and I've been accused enough of being insensitive... I've played every Sierra and Lucas Arts Adventure game (going back to the days of CGA) and some other to know but as I said just I cringe when I kick this cat... The AGDI team has done such a good job - it feels so real......

Re: Awards Criteria ***[MEGA SPOILERS]***

I can't seem to get Scatterbrain. I've left the drawers and wardrobe open in M's room, left the trapdoor and wand cabinet open in the study, and the drawer open in the Behrs' house, but this doesn't seem to be enough. I even made sure to sit in Baby Behr's chair and break it. Any ideas? Try leaving...

I would expect some Alley Cat theme playing somewhere since the cat looks very alike to Alley Cat. Perhaps AGDI did use Alley Cat as one of the references? :lol

I hated kicking the cat... I think the graphics was great but the sound effects were too realistic for my comfort... Hey, don't be. It is just a game, don't take it seriously. I loved the exercise and the drinking... but I hated kicking the cat... I think the graphics was great but the sound effects were too realistic for my comfort... I would expect Alex would at least chuckles, or laugh after the kick, much like in the classic KQ3. But Alex was expressionless, kinda di...

Re: 1:1 Remakes

I'd rather have a good remake than one that's faithful to the original. If you want to get the experience of playing the original, you can already do that by playing the original. And if the experience would actually be improved by changing the graphics, the interface, the music, etc., why not also...

Re: 1:1 Remakes

I hope someone will [one day] take on the project to remake all of the classics in an exact 1:1 remake format to appease the people who have a more sentimental feeling towards these games. So at any rate, thanks for yet another entertaining game! Perhaps you should ask yourself, what if I put colou...

Re: Possibility of KQ5, KQ6, & KQ7 Remake?

I'll always be fond of KQ5, but I feel like while the graphics and music were a huge step up, the puzzle design was actually taking major steps backwards. I really can't believe I managed to beat that game on my own. I don't see any need for a remake of KQ6. It's one of the best adventure games eve...

Many funny moments I've discovered in KQ3R, seriously, the AGD Team really did a great job to include all these great moments, really unexpected, awesome touch ups. Much cooler than original KQ3. Warning: Spoiler ahead, do not read it until you "think" you've done quite enough with the gam...

- DOTT: DOTT is really reallly full of ILLOGICAL puzzles to the extreme. Who would think of washing our car will actually cause a rain/lighting?!?!? Who would think of painting the tree to RED will fool Washinton to chop the tree down?!? These are actually both logical. Painting the tree red makes ...

Re: Possibility of KQ5, KQ6, & KQ7 Remake?

But I even detest the "Retry" button. See, that right there can be part of the problem. All too often I hear the hardcore vs. casual complaint. I'm reminded of the people who claimed Mega Man 10 was utterly worthless before it even came out simply because of the inclusion of an Easy Mode....
