There also might be a pdf file. My CD copy of QFG4 (the "Sierra Originals" version) is the boxed version, and thus came with a paper manual. If you have the CD-only version, it might have a pdf manual on the disc.

Sheesh, now I'm insulted for being offended by something. Man, these forums have fallen far. I'm gone. Zaijian.

That someone would even think to post a link like that here is utterly offensive. I would hope that a moderator takes extreme action here, or I'll likely join the "I'm leaving" thread.

1) The Longest Journey 2) Syberia Neither of the above games were blockbusters (and, sorry, neither were Sierra titles), but both were astounding games. Good puzzles, fun locales to explore, etc. The sequel to Syberia was just okay, and the sequel to The Longest Journey (Dreamfall) should come out ...

I have to say I was disappointed with Siberia. It was a lot of talking and generic fantasy. This isn't to put down those who enjoyed it. My friend who lent it to me thought it was fantastic. But for me, it felt like it needed a lot more editing and less juvenile scriptwriting. I didn't finish it. I...

Hum, dunno. Might have to go fire up my copy of QFG1 and find out (shouldn't be that difficult).

The minotaur was easy for me. I've always enjoyed playing a thief (until QFG3, when I started playing a paladin). During character creation I always bought into parry and magic (so that I had access to all the skills). In the minotaur battle, just use flame dart...drops the guy pretty quickly. Perha...

Heh, is that a good thing or a bad thing? Personally, I just moved to Utah to attend university. I graduated last year, and should be moving back to Washington soon for full-time work (copy editing).

Try to find the original boxed edition. It came with a soundtrack, an actual paper manual, etc.

It was done. I beta'd "Uru: Myst Online." The game was a typical Myst adventure, complete with baffling puzzles and beautiful vistas. It was also online, and you could adventure along with other real people (it was set in a 3D world, unlike the other Myst titles). The beta was a lot of fun...

Hey, mods...can we lock this thread? No one is noticing that someone resurrected an old thread from almost a year ago.

To everyone else: I'm sure the postion was filled LONG ago.

You know, the Coles have never ceased to amaze me with their willingness to interact with fans. Back when "Hero's Quest" (the EGA version) first came out, I actually wrote to Sierra with some questions and comments. Lo and behold, Lori Ann herself wrote me back! I still have two letters fr...

Yeah, I knew about this word years and years ago (yes, I actually own several unabridged dictionaries--comes from having a college degree in English, and being married to someone who has a Master's in English). Anyway, it's pronounced: new-mono-ultra-micro-scopic-sili-co-volcano-coni-osis My second ...

My wife's superpower is her blender. Really. She can stick *anything* into that thing and make it taste good. I swear, some of the concoctions that she whips up should be classified as toxic waste by all rights, but somehow--just somehow--they end up tasting *good*. Very odd. As for myself, I'd want...

You can't go back and practise climbing the brigand wall once you've freed the baroness. If you go back (via the troll's cave), you die when you come out to the minotaur's clearing (death message is something about the brigands waiting for you to return). Four words: Hidengosek This is ringing bells...

Well, I could always just replay the EGA version and use "razzle dazzle root beer" for that matter, but I do much prefer the VGA version of the game. Yeah, I'd like to not cheat, but I also don't want to spend the next 20 hours building up a character that I technically have build fairly i...

Okay, one last question: now that I've figured out how to export, how the heck do I get my thief's strength score up? I can't find any one activity that reliably raises his score. Also, I've done everything in the game but froggy-ize Baba Yaga and my climb score is 87 or so. Where can I max it out? ...

Yeah, I just checked. Not doing anything seems to trigger Yorick's acrobatics. Rather annoying that if you want to see the silly programmer animations you have to forgo "winning" the game. Oh, well.
