Re: so

Yeah, AGS is much improved from its KQ1VGA days, and it was really great back then too :)

Re: LOTR

Nah. If you're going to make an original game, it wouldn't make sense to use copyrighted materials (LotR name, characters, etc.) in it...besides, that's not too original.

Re: "Using"...

Is the inventory menu custom-made in v3.0? The AGS default one looks like crap IMO, especially in a game with great graphics like KQ1VGA.

Re: To Heir Is Human

My favorite is probably 6, and I liked 7 pretty well also (except for that pathetic Disney ripoff intro where Rosella sings), maybe because it was the first one I played. And I guess 8's alright too, since because it's 3D there's a bit more freedom to exploration (although I've only played the game ...

Re: Mac Port

I wouldn't count on them using the Coldstone engine, they seem to like AGS a lot. And $50 is a lot to pay for a game engine... sort of, whereas AGS is free. Coldstone does look pretty cool, though.

Re: ? on menu bar changing cursor mode

Also, why does the cursor stay as the arrow (but act like the walk cursor) after bringing up the Quit or Restart menus? This can be (and should be) easily changed. I'm sure you already know this, but why not do this (like I'm doing for AQ1)?:

int mode_of_cursor;
mode_of_cursor=GetCursorMod...

Nope, the Mario sound always plays when you eat the mushroom, not just with the voice pack.

160 of 158 points!!!

I restored a game where I had 155 points and was just about to click the gate to beat the game and get the 3 remaining points. But before I did that, I looked at the note (It's wise to think backwards/all your base...), which gave me 2 points, upping my total to 160.

I think it has to do with AGS, the scripting engine used to create the game.

lol! And don't forget to talk to each guard, you'll get different dialog depending on which one you speak to (the one on the right is funnier).

Simple is good, Charles, but remember that in Quest for Glory II you can type "ask about adventure", "talk about adventure", and "tell about adventure" and different replies will be given depending on which of them you type, so that really wouldn't work. Also, like in t...

The funny thing about that Shapeir/ier spelling is that it's spelled differently throughout the game and Sierra's official manuals, it seems they didn't even know how to spell it <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)&quo...
