No, I very definitely clicked the porridge on the table (a little bit on the left from the wizard, in case the location matters).
Clicking the hand on the table would not make the hero sit and eat, afaik.

Well, I was saving it, took a long time, then the upload window closed so I assumed it was done even if I could not see it. The file is about 2.8 Mb, maybe the forum settings have a problem with it ? I tried again, at the end of the download there is a red message in the forum area just under 'Post ...

Even pushing the music setting to the maximum does not change anything.
It is the same save I just uploaded for my other post.

Here is the save file. If I click the porridge on the hero, he transforms into a cat, BUT if I click the porridge on the table he sits next to the wizard and start eating it. What I had not noticed before is that the porridge is still in inventory after that, while trying this with any of the 3 food...

I had not saved the game in that situation, but I can replicate it and give you 2 saves, 1 before and 1 after.
I will do that a bit later (I cannot right now) and update this thread.

read the recipes carefully: some recipes need you to use the wand before reading the spell, some after it.
