Re: Future Remake: Part Deux
Much as I love AGDI (and I do love you guys), I think what I'd like most is to see QFG5 fixed. Not a de-make. Like the Saurus Repair Shop, Dragon Fire had a lot of stuff cut for time. Multiplayer support was going to be included, then later deferred to a planned epilogue/expansion, and then later sc...

Longer. QFG2 came out in 1990. It's been 19 years.MusicallyInspired wrote:It's supposed to look that way. Just like they did 15 years ago....

Re: The QfG2 Walkthrough Is Live!
Also, I see no mention to the fact that the wizard can cast Calm at the lava room in the forbidden city to momentary stop the flames, making it easier to cross. This also happened in the original version, but in AGDI's version you even get a response. You can also throw water over yourself, so that...

Re: The QfG2 Walkthrough Is Live!
Just thought I'd mention that at no point in the Mage's section of the walkthrough does it tell you to buy a saurus! I was quite sure I didn't have enough money after having bought all the spells Keapon offered -- all these years and I still didn't know that you could bargain Ali Fakir down to 5 din...

Re: QFG2 VGA remake v1.1 released?
Something to keep in mind for v1.2, pretty please? I miss the alt-text on the main menu from the EGA version. Right clicking on the scorpion resulted in "looks like you found the first bug in the game. Congratulations!" The candle gave "is this your trial by fire? Nah. Too small."...

Re: The QfG2 Walkthrough Is Live!
Fetch the bellows? Nope! Has to do with a little creative casting inside the shop itself and a respectable Communication skill. Hmm, I'll have to catch v. 1.1 then, as the only I knew were either fetch or levitate + grab. Yeah, levitate & grab was also the official method documented in the orig...

There are the wallpapers I made, like, two years back. Actually, I was indirectly asking how did a town in QFG2 (Shapeir) ended up in QFG3 East fricanA (modified from East African, I believe). heheh.... Fricana is taken from Africa, yes, but nowhere is it stated that Shapeir is in Fricana. Tarna is the setting of QG3, which is in Fricana. The Hero and ...

Makes me wish the series hadn't ended, though. There are so many other unexplored mythologies that could've been great QFG games. Imagine a QFG game in an Asian setting with Chinese mythological references, and I never really felt that Norse mythology was used to its true potential, even in QFG1......

Goodbye, Sierra.
Vivendi Games Lays Off 350, To Close Sierra Offices Sierra was very much responsible for much of the game industry as we know it today. They were the first game company to use graphics in games. I was sad to see the shell of what they had become once VU took over. It's not much of a difference now,...

That said though, there won't be any speech pack for QFG2VGA. KQ1VGA and KQ2VGA were fairly far removed from the later KQ games where players already knew how the characters sound. We were lucky to get Josh Mandel and Richard Aronson to reprise the voices of Graham and Cedric. Aside from the reason...
