Re: Bug Discovered In KQII VGA
It's been a long time since I played it, but IIRC the key to getting Possum to appear is that you need to have the needle. Do you?

Re: Suggestion: QfG 5 DEmake.
That's not something AGDI will do. I also don't don't think it would actually be a good thing in general. QfG5 wasn't really in a good place to start. The series had set up a lot of loose ends that need tying up, and there was a lot of power creep. That is, the hero already had already become so pow...

Re: Please, please help me import my character...
The GOG games use DOSBox. The C drive you see from within DOSBox isn't the same as the C drive on your actual computer. It's probably instead just your QfG1 install folder. That should be somewhere in "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Quest for Glory Pack" or similar.

You seem to be missing a step between giving the earth and speaking. It's your chance to be a tree-hugger.

Re: Deadend - theres lots of deadend??
Yes. A dead end isn't where you die. It's where you live, but you can't possibly win the game anymore. For example, if you play with dead ends allowed, the dwarf can steal one of the three main treasures. YoYou can keep playing after this happens, but you're stuck and can't ever win. That's the sort...

Re: Suggestion for agd games
That... doesn't make any sense. The games are free to download, and they're small enough that the download isn't a big deal. It would probably take longer to wait for the DVD to arrive in the mail. Why would people pay for that?

When you read the bible, a page fell out. Starting from the first swamp screen, the page gives you directions to the castle.

Re: Mage's Initiation?
Beta testing is hard work. However, I have the feeling most people don't see "beta access" as "you have to do the work of beta testing the game for us" and more as "you get the game early (and will probably then be upset that it's still buggy)".

A potential solution would have been something like "You read ahead and find that you don't have all the components necessary for this spell."

Re: No Pouch for Sleep Spell
Even in KQ1 or KQ2, you could still get an unwinnable save if you saved right at the end of a timed sequence or chase, giving you insufficient time to escape after loading. The idea is more that, as long as you're not in immediate danger, it's safe to save, since you can be sure you didn't unknowing...

Re: QFG5 Remake
Many people have suggested it, but it's never gone beyond just an idea.
Remaking a game is a lot of work. And with QfG5, there's a real risk that people would still prefer the original or that fans of the rest of the series still wouldn't accept it. QfG5 is what it is.

You're putting it in the Start Menu. You need to put it in the game's actual directory in the program files. That's probably:
C:\Program Files (x86)\AGD Interactive\Quest for Glory II

The candle was available through an optional sidequest, but there's also one in the castle that you can use instead.

In the earliest version of the remake, killing the wolves was the optimal solution. This is no longer the case; there's a different solution to the wolves that gives more points.

Re: Some Questions
1) When importing a hero from QFG1 can I change his class. The reason I ask this is I want to play thru QFG1 as a thief, to obtain all possible skills and port it to QFG 2 as a fighter (obviously retaning all the skills). If not I will need to play QFG1 as fighter. You can change your class on impo...

Re: Help tracking down a few things
The Elsa and Magnum "add-on" by Jamy was really just a set of saved games, and they were distributed in a pair of ZIP files. These were created with Te'ja Laymind's QfG5 save game editors. Around that time (2000), I also used the same to make a Bruno save game (which has very limited enter...

Re: Bug near the end of the game
In order to do the harem ending, you need a magic rope and some things to throw. If you don't have those, you instead end up in the Khaveen screen. This isn't a dead end; you just can't try to fight him honorably.

I don't know if there's a way to get the default keymappings to work for you, but you can reconfigure the keys from the in-game control panel.
