Re: The Gamers Thread: PS3, PC, Wii, 360... pick your poison!!

I heard about the PS3 getting cracked. Apparently all you need to do is load some stuff onto a flash drive and plug it into the PS3 as it boots up. I'm gonna wait to see if there are any dangers before I try it. I doubt there are any, though. This will be fun! The files on a flash drive thing sound...

Re: The Gamers Thread: PS3, PC, Wii, 360... pick your poison!!

Whoohoo!! Sony has made an epic fail and mathematically leaked their private crypto keys for PS3 and PSP so know any homebrew can be signed and executed on PS3 and PSP with NO modifications hardware or software wise the OS will just think the code has been signed by Sony themselves. Sony have still ...

I've always loved the intro's to the KQ games, from the Sierra logo twinkling to the da da da daaaa as the roman numerals appear, its what makes it KQ!!!

Anyone played Costume Quest by Double Fine? I just played the PSN demo and loved it. Seriously thinking about buying it when I finish Mafia II.

Re: Sierra AGI games coming to iPad

So it's not actually an app just a shortcut link to an iPad friendly sarien.net site, still pretty impressive. Should also work for iPhones aswell. I wonder how it compares to ScummVM for iPhone/iPad running AGI games.

Re: ScummVM now supports SCI!

Actually, QFG4 is one of a few SCI games that DOESN'T work well. I can't account for the timing bugs, but the game is graphically very glitchy--the Sierra logo at the beginning is all miscolored, and the transparent shadows seem to come up as opaque cyan on my machine. Also, in all the point and cl...

ScummVM now supports SCI!

Not sure if this has been posted already but ScummVM now supports SCI games including Freddy Pharkas, KQ 1-6, SQ 1-5 and LSL 1-6 among others. This will be amazing to play on a TV with Wii! Can't wait for a PS3 port with PS Move support now that the PS3 has been hacked and homebrew is coming!

Loving the Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game on PSN at the minute, its an old school 8bit style beat'em up like Final Fight and Streets of Rage, totally awesome! The soundtrack is by a chiptune rock band aswell! Check it out!

Yea the game doesn't open up till chapter 11 but I still loved every hour before it. Why listen to what other ppl say. If you love FF games then you owe it to yourself to at least rent it and try it for yourself.
