Re: KQ2 won't start

Do you know your system specifications? If you try to run the game in 640x400, you'll need a system that's a lot faster than the minimum listed on the download page.
Pidgeot
-----
Every error you find is the last one.
Edited b...

Thanks for confirming, Erpy, though I had just double-checked myself in the King's Questions Mini-game on the KQ 1-6 CDs.
Pidgeot
-----
Every error you find is the last one.

Re: Yep...

The way I made the board show the Cyrillic charcters, was by writing them in Word (using Insert|Symbol...) and then copy/pasting them into the text field. The same could be done with any other word processor that supports Russian, or by copy/pasting on Cyrillic text from other sites. Please repost u...

It's the beginning of the game, in the big tree. I'm trying to get past the hoatzin. Now, I know I must get some scented flowers in the tree, but the game just won't let me. Re: Mr. Mushnik's employee...

I have to disagree with you on the Cyrillic note. Cyrillic letters each have their counterparts in the Roman alphabet. The only place where doubt could be caused is when the Cyrillic soft sign or hard sign (both resembling a small B) is used, as that's pretty much the same as accents, soft sign bein...

It's not unlikely that you've experienced this in other Sierra games. The only case I know of, is PQ1, where you can get one point ovoer maximum. However, that's not even done by exploiting any glitch (!). My guess is they forgot to change the maximum score.
Pidgeot
-----
<!--EZCODE ITALIC ...

Re: What do you mean...

Well, Tierra is using several characters originally developed by Sierra. As such, Sierra has copyright on that character. And, as you probably know, KQ1VGA was really just the old KQ1 with now graphics, the story line was pretty much the same.

KQ2VGA, however, was changed quite a lot, and is ...

There's a big difference between AGS and AGI/SCI. AGI/SCI games were never meant to run under Windows (not including some of the SCI VGA games, as they were also playable on Windows). In SCI games, speed is set on a more flexible scale.
