I don't have the game installed right now, but it's in the place where the sorcerer used to appear, a little to the east of Agatha's cave. It's the only place where there's a row of six or seven small stones surrounding a bigger rock, IIRC.

Nope, the rock you are looking for IS enchanted, and is not a lonely rock, by the way.

Re: Annoying bots
Yeah, but I think the most creative thing Sierra had was looking up symbols in manuals. Although... having users register, mailing them a manual, and then having them look up some symbols to activate their account could work too. :p That's not entirely true. In Larry 3, for example, the copyright p...

Re: Quest for Glory 5 Install on Xp
If I remember correctly, after the Sierra FX cutscene comes the intro, which is a quicktime movie. So you might be having a problem with your quicktime player. Last time I tried Dragonfire (a couple of years ago) I used the latest version of Quicktime and it worked OK, so you might try that.

Re: Package for Mac? (Via Cider emulation?)
The easiest way to access the C: drive with Darwine is to use the Explorer emulator that comes with it. Just start Winehelper, choose Open Application and that will take to the drive_c folder. Locate the windows folder in it, and choose Explorer. With that you can access the whole emulated drive, an...

If they are lazy enough to not solve the puzzles by themselves, chances are they wouldn't even bother to play these old games without help anyway, so it's not so bad. Besides, in these days that you can easily find any walkthrough on the internet, lazyness is almost a second nature!

Re: Sierra Games playable in Browser!!
Not bad, it's interesting how you can help other people or just funnily watch them trying all sort of stupid things!
Too bad it's still very buggy, but it'll be fun when it gets a little more polished.

I guess that varies from country to country. I remember I had a 286 when Hero's Quest came out, but most people had 8086 (well, in reality, most people had no computer back then! :p ). Boy, I was so proud that my computer ran at the amazing speed of 12 MHz! :lol By the times QFG2 came out, 386 was s...

Re: Other Easter Eggs
At first I thought it was an obvious Alexander reference to the river styx but now I'm not sure. Well, Alexander had that magic stone which he used to teleport away from danger, although he couldn't control his destination , so, you know, it could be him. TURTLES! :D Ouch, don't get me started on t...

OK, I managed to take a snapshot of his clothes. Maybe it will help, or at least it will help Gronagor to believe this is not a hoax!

Hey, congratulations on your achievment, glad to know you made it safe all the way. You have to come back to Mexico though, cause Michoacan is a beautiful state, although probably not the best for biking. Anyway, back on topic, I recently replayed all three remakes and they really, really, look very...

The site was as abandoned as the games it hosted, I'm surprised it managed to survive so many years (I think the last update was from 2003). Still, kind of sad.

Re: Would you play a QFG 6 in modern 3D?
As it is now MOE is still a solid game. Just needed some tweaking. I could care less if the story involves members of the royal family or not. Screw that. It's a good game. And it's good enough to be a King's Quest for me. Hey, I don't care about the royal family neither. After KQ4 I was expecting ...

Re: Would you play a QFG 6 in modern 3D?
Well, MOE (he, he, :evil ) wasn't all that terrible, the real problem is that it shouldn't be called King's Quest. Wheter you like the series or not, it's quite obvious that MOE (HE, HE, HE :evil :evil :evil ) should have been made as a different, parallel game, located in Daventry but with no relat...

Re: Would you play a QFG 6 in modern 3D?
Are we talking Mask of Eternity 3D or something else? In my opinion, Sierra games always took advantage of the latest technology and that didn't screw the storytelling, up to MOE, in which they forgot what KQ was all about. If it was a true QFG, designed by the Coles, I don't think the 3D would a pr...
